Yeah, I heard it. I rewound it right when I first heard it (to be sure I heard what I thought I heard). He later apologized for his slip up. He was very sincere when he did it too.

Not to read too much into it, but I think Jaws is a Dolphins guy (didn't he have a brief stint with the team before he retired)? Anyway, I'm thinking when he has his little slip of the tongue it was because deep down he is pulling for Henne to succeed.

 

Pretty awful block by the RB btw...

 

Have to admit, one of the funniest things I have ever heard in a Football telecast was this slip-up, and another hilarious quip by Gruden. Right after Wake sacks Brady, Gruden talks about Wake's celebration and it being "the animal is unleashed". Wake talked about it in the bus with Gruden before the game. Gruden then goes on to say that Nate Solder went to the University of Colorado and you know what he was studying there? He was studying to become a veterenarian. Hope he's able to tame this animal that's just been unleashed. Very amusing and intelligently thought out.

 

Well, **** I don't know what the big ****ing deal is.

I caught it but today those words are just blending into regular speech. I think that was the coach in him coming out and I think G Man is right, he is rooting for Henne.

 

The Dolphins even make non-partisan announcers frustratingly curse. $hit.

 

Funny but ESPN is not non-partisan.

 

I heard it, but didn't really care as I was using waaaayyyyy worse language at the time.

Plus I thought it was actually Gruden that said it for some reason. Probally due to the 1554 I was drinking.

The way he said it was pretty funny too. Jaws prob has some good bar stories.

 

seriously they never showed the replay of Henne getting hit, but he got hit LOW and hard after Bush tried to catch the blitzer...

Henne took a beating this game and kept getting up...
