Just booked rooms overlooking the Bellagio fountain and rented an Audi to drive out. Should be fun. Vegas baby.

Nice. If it ever comes to Detroit I might think about it, but it's not an event I would travel for. I'm also not sure it's an event that would appeal to me more in person than on TV with all the resources that we have at home to follow along, comment, etc.
Vegas is probably a good place to see it though, have fun!Surfs Up 99 likes this. -

I was planning on going to Days 1-2, but just saw today that tickets are starting at $1,000 just for Day 2 Draft tickets.
I don't want to watch it standing up... -

With the crazy side show that its become, I don't really think that I would want to see it in person now, honestly. Hard to learn much with all of that noise and chaos.

Something posted by another Finz fan that I thought was helpful:
"I ran luxury hotels for 20 years. So, a little inside tip. For Vegas, if you can wait until the day of, Hotel Tonight is a great site and app where hotels put distressed inventory on in the day for the day. They usually list it starting at 2pm that day. it's a gutsy way to travel but you can get a hellacious deal on there. You can book for multiple nights when you book but for day one of your stay you can't book or even see rates until 2 pm.
Another tip is go to the hotel's website itself. They will honor Expedia and other third party rates so you get the same price but THEN the actual staff controls the reservation so getting an upgrade is way more likely.
Grease the front desk staff for an upgrade. It's really as simple as laying a $50 on the desk and telling them it's yours if you can get upgraded to a suite, penthouse, etc. When doing this, make sure you look at your bill at checkout though. Every once in a while, you'll run across an agent who will take your money but also jack your rate. if this happens, you just ask for the supervisor on the way out at check out and tell them you were offered a complimentary upgrade.
A simple $50 can get your room upgraded by $400 a night.
Tip housekeeping before you leave your room on last day. $5 a day for these people that never get tipped makes a huge deal to those people. They make peanuts." -

I do expect it to get worse but I booked my room before all this started. I could cancel and try my luck but it was a decent price. The only thing I’d really be potentially improving would be a slightly closer location. And I’m already in walking distance and could probably use the exercise anyways. lol

I think it's going to get cancelled. I hate to complain with people dying and such but my trip to Australia to dive with the Great Whites in a cage got cancelled, the draft is going to get cancelled IMO and then my cruise in October from Rome, Greek Isles, Turkey and then Venice isn't looking so hot right now. I'm REALLY hating this bug. Again its small potatoes to what some are dealing with. But it still sucks.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the NFL wait it out for a week or two before making any declaration. It's possible the state of Nevada shuts it down though. -
Yeah - every indication is the draft will be a TV event only. This year will have less on site interviews and more home visits. etc...
