I was considering getting a PSP but I don't know if I should get an older model (PSP-3000?) or a PSP Go?
I normally wouldn't consider the Go! but it can be had for like $150 used at Gamestop right now.
I like a lot of things about the Go! but I know it is a lot cheaper to buy umd games than the digital versions.
I guess my main question is can you play copied games on the Go? I recalled friends in college who had PSP's and they had all sorts of games they could play on it (including PSX games). I didn't know if the Go has been "cracked" like the 3000 has or not, as I'd like to play FF games on the PSP rather than on my PS3 (with the disk).
Any help/info anyone can give me?

No, the PSP Go hasn't been hacked to play backups. The only PSP models that have been hacked are the PSP-1000 (launch model) and PSP-2000 ("PSP Slim.") The PSP-3000 and PSP Go haven't been hacked yet.
If you want to buy a PSP for the sole purpose of getting custom firmware on there, you need to find a PSP-1000 or PSP-2000. If you get a PSP-2000, you'll also need what's called a Pandora's Battery to install custom firmware and thus play backups. -
I want to buy the Disgaea games too, FF: Tactics (whatever the PSP version is called), Prinny, and FF: Crisis Core. So I don't want to just play back-ups I just didn't know if I could do that on one version or another. -

You just pay and download. Make sure you've got a Memory Stick Pro Duo large enough to hold the games, though. -

In the case of PS1 games, the PSP can run them with no problem. (Well, except the missing L2/L3 R2/R3 buttons.) -
Yeah, I think I will be picking up a PSP again as well. I will probably pick upthe Assasins Creed Bundle.

What's that?
