These were 2 he was thrown to deep, the first one was under thrown by Tanne, but the 2nd one could've been caught if he wasn't bumped off his route by Haden.

He was open short a few times as well.

 

If I can recall correctly, he was open on a comeback route on the right side at one point in the game. The play was either incomplete somewhere else or a sack

 

Just over 7 minutes left. Hartline catches the ball at the 5. Wallace was wide open in the endzone. Look at the replay they show. If someone can show this with the picture you will see we blew an easy TD. We scored anyways but Wallace was open

Yep. That is about as open as you can get. Either Tannehill just missed seeing him, or he took the easier throw, but I'd imagine the former. A great, great drive for Tannehill, but he missed a chance to 1) up his QBR, and 2) make Mike Wallace happy by catching the clinching TD on the key drive of the game. Neither of those things is that important as long as we score on the drive, but they could have caused a little less consternation among media-types, fans, and Mike Wallace.

Next time, though! He'll see it in film study.

 

after watching the game i wonder if they are still not on the same page yet. it was obvious that he was right on with Hartline, Gibson and even Clay to an extent. I wonder if he doesn't trust him self yet with Wallace's speed, he seems to struggle with where to place the ball for him. just an observation from a fan point of view.

 

I am guessing this. He was open, but its still a 25 yard pass in the air vs one that was about 10 yds which was an easier completion. No sense taking a risk at that point in the game given the circumstances.

It would have been a baller play though, no doubt.

Hartline was the faster read as well. Given our line problems, tannehill is always going to take the quickest read he sees.

 

Does he not trust himself with Wallace's speed, or does he not trust Wallace to be at the right spot in a timing based passing game?

 

His long ball accuracy needs work. I've said it ad nauseum.

Watching Tanne throw the go route is like watching Bosh put up a three. You start talking to God before the ball leaves his hands.

 

Then stop saying it because its a lie.

Tannehill LEAD ALL QBs last year in accuracy of throws over 20 yards. He was better than Luck, Brady, Manning, Brees, Wilson, CKap, Rodgers, etc.

I've said this ad nauseum.

 

That said...that first deep ball to Wallace should have been an interception...and the 2nd one should have been a TD...both incompletions, but the second one was perfectly placed, Wallace just got derailed.

 

To lead the league in throws over 20 yards you need just under 50% accuracy. That means more balls are misses than receptions.

 

He sure hit Hartline in stride on the 38 yard TD pass, for what that's worth.

 

Yeah. i think I know what one of my debunked lies for Week 2 will be.......

 

I vote we take away ck's name and give it to this guy. ^^
