Armando confirms that Saxon (running backs) is out and DeLeone (tight ends) has accepted a job with Paul Pasqualoni at UCONN. And we already know David Lee returned to work under Houston Nutt at Ole Miss. ;)
As Mando points out, the Dolphins will have new coaches at four of six offensive positions (including coordinator) next season.

The unfortunate part is that Ireland and Sparano are still here.

Judging by the play of the RB's and TE's, these stooges needed to be canned. Unfortunately, the head stooge still remains intact.
-
Out of all the coaches that have left.....have any of them gone on to other NFL jobs or have they all taken positions for college teams? Anyone know?
-
Great job f***tard Parcells did with this staff!!!! Seriously, has he secretly been on the Jets payroll the past 3 years? WTF.

And we're the one's paying him.... it would be funny if it weren't so excruciatingly painfulToddsPhins likes this. -
The QB coach (Lee) rejoined Houston Nutt at Ole Miss (previously together at Arkansas).
The TE (DeLeone) coach went to UCONN.
No word on the RB (Saxon) coach yet.
John Bonamego (ST's coach fired midseason) still a free agent.
The strength coach went to U of Virginia, though his move was likely due to the pending lockout (nothing for him to do, little-to-no pay).
Meanwhile, a few of our defensive coaches have gotten looks at promotions with other teams.jetssuck likes this. -
Well one thing to keep an eye on this offseason is whether or not the Organization decides that the Oline, or the Running Backs were to blame, as hate to say it however PFF graded out the Oline fairly well, they gave Ronnie and Ricky bad grades overall.
Who is played well between the 2? -
While Ricky and Ronnie both looked like lesser versions of themselves...... did you see any holes to run through? Cuz I sure didn't.. -
The Running Game is far different from the passing game, a bad pass is a bad pass, the running game requires knowledge of who should have been doing what and when and to whom..and didn't.
BTw, as for Saxon and Deleone being canned, to me as long as Rizzi is not canned they were the two pigs watching the fox raid the henhouse, Sparano is skipping over the real culprit and making a potential mistake. -
-
As there should be, I'll grant Sparano and Irish that we are in a tough Division, however back to back 7-9's with two late season melt downs should earn them the stink eye, however the D was bad in 09 and was fixed, the O was bad in 2010 and is in line to be fixed.
Not thrilled about Darren Rizzi being kept. -

Also I would like to see either of them make someone miss in the open field everyonce in awhile. -
RB coach James Saxon & TE coach George DeLeone are gone!
SORRY PLEASE MERGE THIS THREAD. I DIDN'T SEE THIS BEFORE I POSTED IT
"According to the Miami Herald's Armango Salguero, James Saxon has been relieved of his duties as running backs coach, while tight ends coach George DeLeone is voluntarily leaving the Dolphins to join former defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni's staff at the University of Connecticut."

Interesting. Probably good to see the housecleaning continue. I mean, the TE coach never developed ANY of our #2 Tight Ends into anything (Joey Haynos anyone?)
Not sure about Saxon getting the hook. Ronnie and Ricky aren;t gamebreakers to begin with in this jumbo three yards and a cloud of dust offende that has no interior Oline.
They SHOULD fire whoever can't make their mind up on a starting interior Oline.
And fire Karl Dorrell too. -
Also, is this Daboll getting to assemble the coaches he wants? I am guessing he has been reviewing the position coaches with Tony and deciding on whom he wants to keep. I still think Dorrell goes.

Who was the RB/TE coach in Cleveland last year? Ben Watson has a really good year, and Peyton Hillis was a wrecking ball.
