The Cardinals have now spent #1, #10, #79 and #152 on two Qb's one of which is about the same size as Mugsy Bouges ..............when the game is played with one football..........................

To use my favorite term, that franchise is an absolute dumpster fire. How their GM made it out of last year is just baffling. I do actually give them credit for breaking the mold with the Murray and Kingsbury combo. It's risky as ****, but it's also got a pretty crazy high ceiling. For as garbage as they are, it's probably worth going off the wall crazy in an attempt to be special.
The issue for me is why they kept their drunk *** driver of a garbage GM and why they didn't deal Rosen before the draft. He's not going to gain value from this point. Nobody is looking at him as an injury savior either, that line of reasoning doesn't make sense. They let several of their possible bargaining points draft people instead. Bush league ****. I wouldn't give up more than a 5th at this point, absolutely 0 leverage for the Cards. -
The race for Rosen is probably Miami and the Chargers... I would offer a 4th, I think they would take it
-
I'll offer them a 2020 7th round pick right now. I don't really want him but at least it would keep everyone quiet for a few minutes.
-
Actually I take Rosen because the Cards will eat about $8M+ of his contract so even if he is a career backup he costs you about $6M over 3 years. Cheap backup in case he doesnt work out

However, Bogues is 5'3" and 130 pounds, which is so far out of the realm of any basketball player it's ridiculous, and he STILL dominated his sport and played 15 seasons.
I think a 5'10"+, 210 pound, QB, which isn't that much smaller than QB's currently playing, will have no problems.
Murray will play MUCH better than Rosen did and do it on the same team that Rosen looked like a pile of trash.GARDENHEAD and texanphinatic like this. -
Murray is the shortest QB taken in round one in the modern era. Earl Boykins and Spudd Webb were 5'5 and 5'6 respectively...

I almost wonder if there is someone we are waiting for in round 2 or 3, and if that guy isnt there the trade happens.

So I am a numbers guy, I wanted some perspective so I looked up the rookie stats of Peyton Manning. I then used Rosens averages to see what his stats would have looked like if he threw the ball as many times as Manning did in his rookie campaign. Now Im not saying Rosen is the next Manning, just pointing out that having a bad rookie year on a bad team is not necessarily a guarantee on future successes.
So Manning
326/575 56.7% 3739 yards 26TDs and 28 INTs
Rosen actual
217/393 55.2% 2278 yards 11 TDs 14 INTs
Equalized
317/575 55.2% 3335 yards 16 TDs 20 INTs
Again, I dont think Rosen is Manning or could even hold Mannings jock. Just that its not necessarily as bad as it looks. -
Also Drew Brees in his 3rd season
205/356 2108 yards 11TDs 15INTs -
-
Except they are the Cards. Looks like they're sending a 2nd round draft pick for Rosen.

lol...Yeah, when I wrote dominant I actually deleted it, but then decided WTH...
Still though, Murray's size won't affect his play. And I think he's probably the best QB prospect to come out since Luck...Rock Sexton likes this. -

Im ok with not getting a shot at Murray, would have taken Mayfield instantly.
