i agree leaving on thursday for london was a stupid thing to do, its different if you are on vacation or getting ready to play a football game, thats why i also have reservations about a football team in london, that travel time is a disaster

Does that make anyone feel good going into tommorows game?

If Coyle was pissed their complaining got out..you think hes gonna be even more pissed that it got out that he yelled at the players to keep it in house?

Man..someone wants Philbin gone badly if that stuff keeps getting leaked. Who else would have know Croyles reaction but a player..or coach..and leaked it?

What bothered me was when..Philbin said..we will feed them a big meal on the plane on hopefully they will sleep all night..its a plane flight..you cant hopw they will sleep.
They said on Friday they got no sleep

And finally, one Dolphins player complained that coaches have told him two completely conflicting things regarding technique, leaving him unsure what to do.
Let’s be clear: There are some very good coaches on this staff. But the past seven days weren’t good for Philbin, offensive coordinator Bill Lazor(who didn’t run the ball enough against Kansas City) or Coyle (who advocated the McKnight coverage debacle). And Philbin’s long-term future will look even more precarious if Miami loses Sunday.

Someone mentioned earlier that when the Pats played in Limey Town last time that they left late in week, as Miami did, and the Pats won handily.

I don't really feel the "Jet Lag" will have an effect. It's only a 5 hour difference from here and there so playing a 1pm Game its only 6pm there which they could play later than that on any given week with TNF/SNF/MNF. I dont feel 5 hours could throw off a sleeping/eating/practice schedule that much. Though i've never experienced it first hand.

It's to the point where even if Joe Philbin does survive, I think Coyle may end up replaced. Even if the D ultimately plays and ranks well.

I am starting get the bad part of Nick Saban vibes about this team now. Treating the players like they are icons in a Madden game does not work with NFL veterans.

We have had Philbin clear out players who talked back to him. Jim Turner fining players who spoke up in OL meetings even if the player was right. Coyle not understanding the Striesand effect. It is all adding up to en environment where players are expected to sit down, shut up and be good little robots.

Accountability is like respect, it has to go both ways to work. For the players to be that angry after last weeks loss they must have told him before the game that his game plan would not work. Blowing up at the players is a way of Coyle avoiding his accountability to his players. A much better message would have been to say that he knew he had scewed up and that he would listen to the playes more next time.

As for the Hartline thing, Hartline said on the Sunday he knew he had done the wrong thing and was not going to do that again. There were much bigger foul ups last Sunday, so to harp on about Hatline seems both petty and missing the point. If I was a player in that locker room my confidence levels in my coaches would be significantly lower today than it was last week.

Whom was Coyle supposed to use to cover McKnight? The whole idea of sending a back out of the backfield, especially on a delay, is that the cover guys are otherwise engaged with the wideouts, so it leaves a quick back isolated in space against slow linebackers who play mostly run support and can't cover him. Where was the strong safety?

There is a real morale problem on this team. Only part of it is due to questionable coaching. A significant part of it is players who can't get the job done trying to shift the blame, and the media loves it.

The Jet lag problem is being overblown IMO.The effects flying to London are less than the Jet lag coming back .

There is more danger from english food but that could affect both teams particularly for the team that stays longer.:pointlol:

Another job of the HC (Peace and discipline) that Philbin doesnt do while hes not drafting game plans or not calling plays. I need Dan to put Philbin in a triangle choke.

At this point, I hope so. I stumbled across an old PowerPoint from the Ravens when Rex Ryan was the D-Coordinator there. I want Miami to play that scheme so badly. So many fronts Miami already *tries* to use are included, so many pressures/blitzes, DJ would get his wish that Dion Jordan would be at OLB, and Miami's already been collecting 3-4 pieces for whatever reason: Deandre Coleman, Bruce Gaston, and the bevy of edge players they already have.

The defense runs so many shaded fronts I don't think it'd matter that Earl Mitchell is smaller than guys Ryan has had in the past at NT - Siragusa, Ngata, Pouha, Harrison/Ellis, etc. that the scheme basically allows you to play Earl Mitchell as he's already being played in Miami; and he's been tremendous.

Really I think the only investment you might have to make is at ILB. I think you'd have to cast off Ellerbe and Wheeler for sure, and I think you'd still need a Brandon Spikes type to go along with Misi/Tripp/Jenkins inside. But I don't think that piece is overly tough to find.

I'd doubt it, especially with a bye upcoming. And if Miami loses, going into a bye?

Also, just found out that Mike Tannenbaum, currently a consultant for Miami, is the agent for Seattle DC Dan Quinn. Interesting.

You're that confident that this team will beat the Raiders? :lol: I wouldn't be shocked if we come out flat/uninspired and lose by 6 Janikowski field goals.

Missing Starks and McCain could be a problem. We know the Offense has trouble getting into the endzone so the combination of injuries, and weak offense could be another typical Dolphin let down. The team just doesn't like Philbin and I think there could be no bigger reflection of that fact than the goose eggs they laid when the playoffs were on the line last year.
