This sounds too ridiculous to be true. Then again, it is the Dolphins... expect the unexpected?

Wow, we reached offseason absurdity pretty quickly this year

I'm fairly confident "Sherman is running the team" is extremely hyperbolic.

You don't drop a bomb like that in the Herald unless you have some juice to back it up.

Pretty much what I have said in my previous posts, Philbin won't fire Sherman if asked to, they're a package deal. Ross will have to fire Philbin to get rid of Sherman.

We are a ****ing laughing stock.
Ross is doing more damage to this franchise than Wannstedt did, he is destroying it with loyalty to idiots.
We will never win with him owning this football team.

Philbin never called plays in Green Bay, doesn't here. Can someone explain to me how similar/different Sherman's offensive system is vs. Philbin, and which one ours resembles more?
Is it hyperbolic? Possibly but hyperbole is an exaggeration of the truth. -
Philbin and Sherman are tight. Nothing new here.
I just wonder who this "league source" Beasley and Salguero are talking about? Honestly, it could have been ANYONE. A player. Another HC. A secretary. Who? If they were more specific, I might be more inclined to believe that part of the story.
The rest of the article is fluff, save Coyle and Turner leaving the building without comment (stuff that is better read via Twitter....saves time, too!). There will probably be those who link it via a tweet as if it is some revelation to the insights of a billion-dollar business. These guys are pawns. What is the agenda?
Someone wants someone else's head? Someone trying to save his or her own ***?
This read only adds to the already perceived buffoonery in how this team is run.

I explain it by saying he asked Sherman's help in filling out a coaching staff, that doesn't mean he's running the damn team.
I'm still holding my stance that Philbin should get more time to prove himself, but with all the stuff being reported I wouldn't be too upset if he were fired too.
Changes need to made SOMEWHERE. I don't care where. Just make a decision, fix the offensive line and win some damn football games.
I don't see why it matters. I want a HC who can select his own staff. In my opinion you have got to give a coach at least 3 years to build a winning team. If not to just give him a chance to fine tune his style/players, at least to attract other reputable coaches in the future. No coach worth a damn would come work for you if he knew he would be on the chopping block year 2 with an improved 8-8 season. Same holds true for forcing his hand on who to hire and fire. No coach wants to be neutered. If he wants to hold onto Sherman for better or worse, so be it. Fans need to stop with the knee jerk reactions.
Kind of amaizng how the NFL works. 2 weeks ago we had just beaten the damn Patriots. Joe Philbin was in serious discussion for coach of the year. Ryan Tannehill was the next big quarterback. The Dolphins had broken through.
Now, everyone needs to be fired. Tannehill may not be the guy. The Dolphins are still stuck in medicority. The team is run by buffoons.
I'm just saying. There's a lot of hyperbole going on. And as usually is the case, the truth of it all lies somewhere in between.

Joe Philbin tenure is approaching Cam Cameron territory. There is a pattern of unassertive behavior.

That's what happens when you get humiliated by two division rivals.
