Which games, plays, or players brought a smile to your face over the past year?
I'll start with two wins vs the Jets.
Polite in short yardage, and many of his blocks.
Wake "introducing" himself to QB's, and the NFL.
Your choices?

The kids
Chad Henne( not a rookie but still a kid)
Brian Hartline
Vontae Davis
Shawn Smith
I thought Vontae Davis was exceptional for a rookie
the effort on the pick that didnt happen last week was phenomenal
i know Vontae can hit but to see him make a play on the ball like that

Good thread idea. Here are my top 10 moments of 2009:
1. Realizing that Jake Long was the right pick in 2008. It took me a while, but I believe it now. He's better than Ryan Clady and he's better than Matt Ryan.
2. Realizing that Henne has the potential to be the man.
3. The Saints game before the fumble at the end of the half. I watched that game here at a sportsbar in New Orleans. I was giddy with excitement.
4. The Ted Ginn TD vs the jets. A thing of beauty.
5. Being able to attend two games this year (Buffalo and NE) and coming out with two wins.
6. Having bragging rights that we swept the jets.
7. Watching Vontae Davis develop as a top-flight CB.
8. The final minutes of the NE game. Great to kill Tommy Brady.
9. The fact that we effectively shut down the run all season long.
10. The Wildcat. Every time we ran the Wildcat, I sat forward on my bar stool. Every time I saw Ronnie get that direct snap, I knew we could score on that play. I really hadn't felt that way since Danny was in the shotgun.skippysphins and dolfan7171 like this. -
Also agree on Henne. Taking tihs rag-time group of receivers to 4th quarter comebacks was special as well.dolfan7171 likes this. -
I would add the Indy game. I know we lost but, DAMN did we wreak havoc with the WC. I have NEVER seen anything like it.dolfan7171 likes this. -
My favorite play from 2009...

Perfect in all reagrds. Henne's throw, Ginn's route, the pass protection. My favorite game of the year too. Boy did it feel good to beat the Jets and rough up their defense on a Monday night with the world watching.
I want you all to take a good look at Rex Ryan's reaction too. Priceless. :lol:byroan, dolfan7171, xphinfanx and 4 others like this. -
The camrillo catch off of his legs in the first game of the year, the monday night game against the colts(even though we lost) was absolutely electric, the win against tampa after almost blowing it and the win against NE were all big in my mind this season.

1.The development of Chad Henne. I like what I say out of him and feel comfortable he can move the ball and make good throws. He is getting out his mistakes now and I can see a bright future.
2.The rookie corners coming into their own. I also liked what I saw from the corners, decent play for rookies. I especially like Vontae's aggressiveness for the ball.
3.Ted Ginn vs the Jets, the first game catch and during the second game the two returns.
4. The second Patriots game, the ability out team had to mount a comeback and show they can climb back in when down.
5.Camarillo continuing to make good catches and being a dependable guy
I will add more later if I think of themdolfan7171 likes this. -

Lot of good moments from this season, my favorite play though was against the Panthers on Thursday Night Football. It was my first Miami game in person and I watched on 3rd and 12 as Henne rolled out, avoided the pressure, and threw to Bess coming across the field. Not the most important play of the season, but a big first down in that game and I saw it while sitting on the edge of my seat. Future is bright, Chad.
Play is at 3:19 in the video.
