A little thing that I know is hard for dolphin fans to understand because we never draft them but there called play makers and they win games

 

Good teams find a way to win no matter what, or is it bad teams find a way to lose, I don't know :confused2:one of those.

Cards should have signed Henne in the offseason, Yeesh please trade Larry Fitz. to Miami if you are going to squander him.

I would HOPE they wouldn't with Matt Moore or RT but it is not 100%, you are correct. But having that DEF. and they going with Lindley,Skelton,Max Hall, and Kolb seems like poor planning in the offseasons. IMHO an OK QB would make that team much more dangerous.

 

I think if Warner came out of retirement he could win a SB with that team, even now. They've got everything they need to make a run but a QB.

 

The story of the day is that Matt Ryan played a bad game today, yet the Falcons found a way to win the game. No matter what some individuals on here might say. In the NFL the only thing that matters is whether you win or lose the game. The Falcons won today, even if Ryan had perhaps his worst game in his NFL career. The win is all that matters and I am sure Ryan will have a better game next week.

 

The Cardinals had a YPA of 1.5.

I challenge anyone here to find a team that won a game with a YPA that low.

 

It should also be noted that the Dolphins took Jake Long with the first pick in the 2008. The Falcons took Ryan with the third pick in the 2008 draft. While Ryan may have had a bad day today. He has had an excellent season prior to the game today. While Long has continued to play well below his previous expectations.

It should also be noted that since 2008, the Falcons have a regular season record of 52-22.

The Dolphins regular season record over this same period of time is 35-39.

I would say the Falcons certainly got the better first round draft pick that year.

 

If you are referring to the Cardinals offense then you need to delete the "s" on playmakers b/c there is only one.

 

They also have the worst set of pass blocking OTs in the league. Any QB they use either needs to be very mobile or is going to get pounded to a bloody pulp.

Looks like their YPA was 3.3. David Carr threw for 33 yards on 10 attempts.

 

It was ypp. From a team perspective the sack yardage lost is factored in for ypa. 33 passing yards - 23 yards lost on sacks = 1.0 ypa

Individual QBs don't have sack yardage factored in. But if you look at the box score the Cardinals had 70 yards passing, but had 29 yards in loss due to sack to = 1.5 ypa

well I would take any qb over Ryan Tannyhill well maybe except for the jax qb that Henne replaced and jay Cutler . hell I would take Henne any day over the overrated Ryan Tannyhill .

Back in 2008, if the Dolphins had selected Ryan #1 overall they would have been slated by everyone, especially the talking heads as he was never in contention to be #1 overall. Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing.

 

The real mistake Huizenga made in 2008 was convincing Parcells to turn down the Falcons job and take the job with the Dolphins.

If Parcells had not come to Miami and he had taken the job he was first offered with the Falcons. Sparano would have been the Falcons HC in 2008 and Ireland would have been their GM, and not the GM of the Dolphins.

Perhaps another Dolphin GM might have been smart enough to select the top rated QB in the draft over a LT. Oh well, I guess its all Huizenga's fault after all. :yes:
