Now I guess its wait and see if the Dolphins even consider matching it.
-
They're not gonna match it. We should have just Franchise'd him.

That's a ridiculous amount of money to pay a TE when Matt Cassell and EJ Manuel are your QB's

Thanks for your efforts Charles. Enjoy Buffalo and now Tannenbaum has more cash to play with.

Keep in mind, if Gronk was a FA right now, he'd end up making 10-12 million annually.

I want to see more of Lynch this year. All the guy did was come up for Georgia when they needed a play. Didn't matter if it was a catch or a block, he got it done. I am interested to see what he has to offer at this level.
-
tannebaum ****ed this up. should have franchised him. wtf.
-
Add Tannehill to that list. -
Sound logic.... I know what list to add you to....

As for Clay... I'd like to keep him. I like the player. But that's crazy money. Buffalo is insane for doing it. I agree with us for not franchising him, because even 7 or 8 million (or whatever the franchise tag would have been) is too much to pay him. Especially with his knee issues. Think about that before saying we should have franchised him. That's alot of money for him.TotoreMexico likes this. -
7 mil a year for 500 yd, 3 td seasons? Gotta pass on that.
-
Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?
Apparently, $24.5 mil for first two years... Yikes.
Love Clay, but gotta pass. -
I like Clay. I don't love him, and you have to really love him to pay him that. The team played it the right way. Buffalo is being stupid with their money. I'm not gonna say that I hope Clay plays poorly for them.....but I hope they really end up regretting this and it backfires on them. As others have said, Clay is a mid tier TE, and he's getting paid like an All Pro. Just like I would oppose paying Lamar Miller as if he were Lynch or Murray a year from now, I'm cool with the team not paying Clay that much. Apparently, their offer was 4 years at about 6 mil a season with 15 mil guaranteed, and thats what I figured he would make.

He would have done the same with Manuel or Cassel..... maybe a little better. -

That's a lot of money for a tight end that can't block.
-
Are you done here now? You got yet another senseless, clueless, factless shot in on our QB. Congrats.
Moving along.. nothing to see here.TotoreMexico and resnor like this. -
One way to get a little better as a team is to weaken a division opponent.
-
Well that kind of sucks, I am/was a fan of Clay but at the end of the day its an business decision for him. I hope he doesn't burn us too bad when we play buffalo and if he can give us a few dropped TD passes (like he did for us) then it will go along way in the healing process. Lol. Good luck "Big Play" Clay

Let's not forget we receive a 2nd rounder for him in return. That's nothing to sneeze at.

Bills definitely overpaid. Still we need to draft a TE now in case Cameron gets banged up again
