Anyone else?
Looks to be another legendary coop romp. The first was easily one of my favorite couch-coop games of all time and they seemed to have improved on the weak points from the first like lackluster skill trees/vehicle combat.
I pre-ordered mine to get the extra dlc, but damn I dont think its even worth picking it up at midnight tonight considering I have to work at 6am

Very excited

Preloaded on Steam. I might play a few minutes of it after it unlocks, but I won't really be able to play it until after work tomorrow.
I thought the original was too co-op dependent. After a few hours in, the difficulty curve was just too high unless you had a fully functional party. I'm hoping B2 will be more forgiving for us loners. -
I won't be able to play until late Thursday or possibly Friday. I know my wife can't wait to play either.
I got the loot chest. -
Does a dachshund come included?

Im having very bad thoughts of just playing borderlands 2 all morning until work....8 hour shift tho that could get rough with no sleep

Dachshunds have so much personality!Stitches likes this. -
And Borderlands 2 has just unlocked. Time to get in a quest or two before sleep.

I have Part I downloading now. Is it great?

"I used to be a vault hunter like you, but then I took a bullet to the knee"- random NPC
A little overdone at this point but I like the nod there -
I'm up to level 28 or so and I've made it through about 16 chapters. There's a pretty big plot twist, which is surprising given that Borderlands isn't generally known for, you know, plot.
I really like how they've rebalanced the game, though it's still a little too tough solo. Elemental effects are now worth using, as opposed to the first game where only fire was worth a damn. Corrosion in particular is much more useful now, though I've been getting decent use out of shock as well. -
-
Also, how are plot stories completed coop when everyone has different completed quests, etc. Last question, are the SP and MP quests the same, ie. you go through the SP quests in COOP? -
Level 22 and the elemental guns are almost mandatory this time around. I loved the first game and this one is much better.

It's basically people playing other people's save files using their own imported characters.Tone_E likes this. -

I just downloaded the *demo* on PC and love it. I am in between rigs right now, but when I get my new CPU early next week or so I will def. buy the game. I like it. It is refreshing and something new. The art style is nice, although I didn't think I would like it - trailers and gameplay vids don't do it justice. Looking forward to this as an aside to BF3 lol. Until Arma 3 comes out that is.

It is nice to see a company make somehting different from the fps industry. I like Gearbox's ceo, seems like a cool guy. I will support them and buy the game. I never played opposing force or blue shift. First half life i played was 2, and then CS:S only from the mod side.

Unless you're talking about the Suikoden II reference, in which case, go play it. -
I can see that. I didn't even know about him or Gearbox before Borderlands 2, and the more interviews I see, I can understand what you are saying. But overall, I think he just seems over enthusiastic which suggests he is more of a fan of what he is doing as opposed to coming off as that slick salesman using superlatives. He loves what he does, and won't release a product that "he thinks" is sub par and is the reason why everything is awesome etc. More devs should have his high standards.
I also respect him the most for listening to the BL community and tailoring the game for the PC community. The 360 and PS3 versions are clearly ports of the PC version and finally the PC community and Gearbox really did stay true to their word. The game is clearly better on the PC fully taking advantage of new tech like PhysX and stuff like that. Its about time the PC isn't an afterthought. -
Mechromancer is supposed to be out later today.

So I just ordered a Lenovo IdeaPad Y480, one on the left in the link, (link) and am interested in finally picking up Borderlands 2 on PC. Do you guys think the laptop will be able to handle it well or should I just snag it for 360?
it has a 3rd gen i7-3630, nvidia gforce 650m, and 8 gigs of ram... im hoping it can! -

Can't wait to pick this up! thanks for checking the specs Des, I know you know your computers well lol.

This game is still a blast, but I'm having trouble with my build recently. I went with an Assassin Melee build, and while its fun, it gets incredible hard to effectively melee-kill people as you progress on (i think about about level 20 right now). Half the time you go for the 'execute' attack and it does like 25-50% damage. and thats with all my skill points in that tree, and weapons that add melee damage.
I may have to re-spec my character to a sniper for the time being, since I end up gunning down most enemies anyway -
