I'm gonna need a second source to confirm this. I'm going to go check Adam Scheffter's twitter.

I'm pretty sure the first incomplete pass he throws on Monday night against the Pats will have several Dolfans on here complaining about how he sucks.

I'm actually confident that Henne will play very well for us this year. I think our running game and new O coordinator will finally give him the real opportunity to succeed.
I'm on board for Henne in 2011.Aquafin, HULKFish, VA_Dolfan and 1 other person like this. -
Having said that, Henne will be inconsistent, but overall fine -
I've got faith he'll be decent, but I'm a Henne Optimist. So we'll see I suppose. -

It will happen, but I don't think Henne's head should be torn off if his preseason is mediocre. I hope it isn't crazy awful, but a mediocre preseason really won't affect my view (which is that the QB position needs to be addressed with an upgrade).
If the team starts off 2-0 with Henne being an average, game manager, I'm OK with that. I was OK with it last year. He just needs to find his way to lead the team to score more points than the other team. It's that simple.
If he can improve on last year's statistics and the team's record from last year, I think it's a successful year for him and deserving of a new contract--dependent on the options available (maybe Palmer opens up, maybe a draft option falls, maybe a release happens, etc.) -

But threads and posts like this are lame. Don't tell people how to be a fan. Should we all have gotten on the "Daunte Culpepper Bandwagon"? How about the "Paul Pasqualoni Bandwagon"? Or the "Gibril Wilson Bandwagon"? And on and on. To paraphrase Mark Twain, people like you don't need a spine because it's apparent a broomstick will do.VA_Dolfan, dolfan7171 and MonstBlitz like this. -

I can see it now...he is 21 of 24 for 325 yrds, 3 TDs and no INTs against the Pats and we lose 27-21 and he'll be crucified, dead and buried...
-
For all you who are making clever statements about how Henne will be unfairly judged if he performs well, there will be just as man if not more apologists granting him unearned excuses for poor play, so let's stop the nonsense and realize there needs to be a middle ground when judging the man as a QB this season and beyond.Aqua4Ever04 and dolfan32323 like this. -

Both sides can play the blame game...

But it would also be prudent to point out that Chad Henne has never had a 3TD game in his entire NFL career. -

I think Brett Favre will do just fine for us this year.

But IMO Henne played well in that game. He made mistakes, but overall was good. I honestly don't recall him being crucified. I didn't start to think Henne was a bad QB until the Bengals game. -
its henne all day then IF he tanks this year we get luck in the draft problem solved

I completely agree with you but i feel the breaking news title was unnecessary

I'm not sure what I'm not consistent about. You would be hard-pressed to find me harping or complaining about the team's overall record.
