Thats the risk of the sport.

I read today in an old newspaper..1880's that 5000 horses were killed bullfighting.. and 1500 bulls... was it done differently in the olden days I wonder.. seems like a stiff price for the horses.

 

You know, I was just about to post something similar like that myself, and actually typed it out, but pulled back.

A few reasons;
1. I'm not a vegetarian - anyone can then say, "well you eat meat, what is wrong with killing them all of a sudden"
2. I'm a hunter - I kill animals myself, but do eat what I kill.

In the end, these bulls are tormented and tortured by being stabbed with a thin sword.

I disagree with the sport only because they slay the bull at the end. I know they do that at slaughter houses, but I'm sure there is a different method - a more civil method (if possible). Bullfighting is down right mean. Give the thing a chance, or don't kill it at the end, keep it merely a "sport".

In the end I hope the mantador or matador has a full recovery, but hopefully he thinks twice before entering the ring again.

 

This 'sport' would get you 18 months in the slammer here.

If they want to make it a sport, level the playing field: no weapons.

I agree with all...barbaric "sport" where there can be only one end. Even though the bull got this asshat it was still probably killed.

Tormented, ridiculed, tortured , then finally killed.

Good. This "sport" reminds me of canned hunts, I'm glad the bull "won" for once.

Or, we level the playing field by adding more weapons. The Bull-Fighter gets to keep his sword, but the Bull has a freakin' laser attached to his head.

 

That is a sport I want to see.
