i havent yet. YET lol... Been banned twice before. been almost two years since my last banning. There's ways to keep safe (or at least safer) if you're a smart haxxor.

A 25 kill streak gets you a nuke? LMFAO! 25 is my longest streak ever, done it three times (twice in World at War and once in Modern Warfare 1). The suspense to play this game is killing me.

the nuke is cool, but I think the longest kill streak I've ever gotten is like 21 or 22 so I doubt I'll see it too much if ever unless it is being dropped on me haha

 

I've never beat a 12 kill streak, so I dont expect to ever mini nuke anyone

 

Does this compare to counter-strike in terms of multiplayer? I'm either getting this or Left 4 Dead, and getting the other for Christmas.

I bought World at War and thought the campaign was fun. However when I got online with it, I was a bit lost. Everyone else was sick as **** and killing me from every direction and I didn't know wtf was happening. Plus there are RPG elements, right? Being a n00b was awful. Never really got into it.

I didn't play MW1 because I didn't have a system then and was busy with other games that were coming out.

 

The first one set the standard for 360 FPS IMO. I still play the hell out of it and will only consider replacing it with this one. There are other good shooters certainly but this game has a huge following. Very much a marquis series on the system.

 

it's not really rpg elements.... basically you unlock new weapon stuff and 'perks' as you complete challenges. When you get 25 kills with a weapon you unlock a red dot scope you can equip on it, when you get 10 headshots you unlock a special camo for that gun. When you hit a certian amount of XP (gained by killing people and weapon upgrades) you unlock new 'perks' which you can equip like extra grenades, run longer, reload faster, shoot faster, pull a pistol when you die, drop a grenade when you die, etc.

Personally I would get CoD over L4D. Duty has much more to offer as far as replay and depth IMO

BTW since this is sort of an FPS thread does anyone play the Battlefield series?

If so starting November 19th at 11pm if you pre-order Battlefield Bad Company 2 Limited Edition (which is also $60 so another great deal) at Gamestop for the PS3 you get the Beta code. I find it a little strange the Beta is PS3 exclusive but I've heard the series is more popular on the PS3. Anyway I love the Battlefield series and can't wait for this (yes I even prefer Battlefield over COD...in a tight race).

I'm picking up my copy tomorrow at midnight but I have to work the next day (Tuesday) at 6:00 AM so I won't be able to play it until I'm off work.

The woman works until 10:00 PM on Tuesday and then has to be back at work Wednesday at 8:00 AM so she'll be going right to bed and then working all day on Wednesday (Remembrance Day in Canada which is a stat). I'm putting the gamein my PS3 as soon as I get home on Tuesday and the only time it is getting turned off is Wednesday at 11:00 AM for the National memorial. As soon as the memorial is over I'm playing until I can't keep my eyes open anymore.

 

Does anyone know if the COD1 (included with MW2 Hardened and Prestige editions) game has leaked online yet?

I figure it may have since Gamespot I think are already giving out their pre-orders. Plus I am guessing the COD1 game would be much like a demo and you could download it without modding.

I pre-ordered mine a couple hours ago, cant wait till tonight! Though it sucks I have to get up and work in the morning.

 

Dude, my work just TOTALLY played me.

When I get home today my boss calls and says "we're screwed for Tuesday because of the weather so we're all taking Tuesday and Wednesday off". I'm STOKED right? I can pick it up at midnight and play until I fall asleep with the controller in my hand.

Well....I get a call an hour later saying "Yah, we have some shop work we can do on Tuesday so meet me there for the day". :pity:

 

Eh, I just ordered it. I had the PE pre-ordered, but cancelled a while ago. Well amazon's $20 credit was too good to ignore when I had $50 in credit to use anyway. So I got the game for $9.99 (plus $20 credit). It'll be at my house when I get home from NJ.
