Cheers, the sarcasm in that show was at an absolute '10'! Great show, and it still is.

I loved both of them, but I think I liked Night Court a little bit better. But, both shows jumped the shark the exactly same way, and their finales were less than spectacular.

Almost too tough to call for me, but the combination of John Larroquette and Richard Moll pushed me toward Night Court.
Cheers was a phenomenal show and would probably win out over most any other sitcom from that era.
Cheers had a better theme song. -
Coach, Woody, Sam, Norm, Cliff, Paul, Carla, Frasier, ect... amazing cast, and an amazing show...its one show i record on my DVR, sad thing is, its barley on tv anymore

Really tough call here but Markie Post absolutely blows Kirsty Allie and the other skinny lady out of the water..
For Lucky, do you remember the episode where they had the crazy doood that thought he was an alien....and there was an absolute classic joke about the car he drove?...just askin -
dont make Moll sad

I voted for Night Court. It's kind of funny, but being a trekkie I was thinking and laughing the other day about the scene where there was a ruckus between fans of the old and new generations.
"Captain Picard violated the Prime Directive no less than seven times.

This shouldnt even be a poll. Cheers, without question. Not only was it a great show, but it produced a spin-off that was very successful as well.

Night Court, according to the first season DVD, was created without comedian/magician Harry Anderson in mind, but Anderson auditioned with the claim that he was Harry Stone. Anderson had developed a following with his performances on Saturday Night Live and made several successful appearances as "Harry the Hat" on another NBC sitcom, Cheers. (For the first several years of its run, Night Court aired on NBC Thursday nights after Cheers.) In later seasons, while Anderson remained the key figure, John Larroquette became the breakout personality, winning a number of awards and many fans for his performance as the lecherous Dan Fielding.

i'd like to go with both. in my area night court would come on at 5 and cheers later and i liked and watched both for their own reasons. used to have a thing for markie post too. never cared for the girls on cheers. if i had to pick probly night court as it made me laugh out loud more.

I already voted for 'Cheers', but I have to state my case. Night Court was a GREAT show, lot's of funny moments. The banter between 'Bull' and the Judge along with DA Laroquette (i'm too lazy to check for spelling) accompanied by hottie Markie Post was an outstanding show, I watch it every chance I get.
However, Cheers, is a whole 'nother ballpark. So much sarcasm, so little time. Norm, is the bomb, Cliff, is the cleanup for comedy in that regard. Carla, total smart ***, she keeps the comedy polished. Ted Danson and whomever he's involved with keeps the whole pot stirring along with Frasier and Woody. Good stuff all around, but, just my IMO. Enjoy what you love. :knucks: -
Everybody knows that Joannie loves Chachi was 1000% better than Happy Days
