The computer called this game a draw. The only reason I can think of is because of the number of turns passed before I got the computer into this position. We went back and forth for a while.
Am I missing something? Is there a reason this isn't checkmate or did the computer just make a blunder.

Dude....the King cannot move while not in check. he is locked. THAT is a draw.
TokyoFishFan and Stitches like this. -
You cannot have checkmate when you don;t even have him in check.
want to play for money?
LOL. -
I'm white and he is black BTW in case you didn't notice.
No matter which way he moves he is trapped. -
...when you trap your opponent's King (his final piece) and you DO NOT have him in Check...you force a Draw.
you screwed up.TokyoFishFan, Alex44 and Stitches like this. -
It is illegal to move into check.
As Section said, if you do not have an opponent in check and he has no moves, it is a draw. You did indeed screw up.Alex44 likes this. -
No need for the stupid comments. I haven't played since I was like 10 when I used to play a LOT. Some of the rules have slipped my mind, hence why I asked. -
asking if you wanted to play for money was a joke....Alex44 likes this. -

Like Chess? Getting bored with it, but still enjoy this sort of game?
Try Shogi!

It's a much more offensive and more defensive game.
