I was just all set to get tickets for July 3rd out here and then I look up to get tickets and the show was cancelled. Tom hurt his vocal cords. They were going to be the headliner, with Lynch Mob, and Warrant opening. I wanted to see Cinderella and Lynch Mob bad.
This was on www.cinderella.net off of there message boards.
Its with unbelievably deep regret that I must announce that Cinderella's Tom Keifer's left vocal cord has hemorrhaged, thereby making it impossible for him to sing in the immediate future.
Tom felt his throat give way last night (6/11) finishing the set in pre-production rehearsals, went to his vocal doctor (Dr. Stephen Mitchell) in Nashville this morning, and was told the grim news. In the short term, Tom's was told it would be two to three weeks before the swelling and damage would recede to a point to where an assessment can be made as to whether surgery will be required.
Consequently, and again, most regretfully, we have no choice but to postpone the upcoming Cinderella tour until such time as Tom is ready tour again.

I hope Tom gets better, and doesn't need surgery.:wink2:

He's been having problems for years from what I understand. I never really liked Cinderella growing up but I saw them 2 years ago when they opened for Pagan's favorite band (Poison). I think they were better than poison that night and were actually very good live. -

Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?
Hopefully Tom gets well soon. -
I've seen Cinderella a couple of times, once with a group that I loved thier album but was the worst act I've ever seen Live... Bullet Boys

That sucks. I started liking Cinderella after I got past the stereotype of them being just another hair band and actually gave them a fair listen. Hope you get to see them at some point FFiC.

Most people unfortunately lump them in with the hair band crowd. People should give a listen to Tom's vocals on the title track of "Long Cold Winter" to see that they're just an *** kicking blues rock band.
And Rico...I'll find out where you live... Last edited: Jun 17, 2008 -
Saw them in 2005 with Ratt, Quiet Riot, and Firehouse (ugh!). Cinderella absolutely blew the doors off the House of Blues. Incredible show.

Dang... That sucks. LOVE seeing all the tours coming out from the REAL rock bands! Crue-Fest; Dokken/Sebastian Bach/Poison; Journey/Heart (can't believe I admitted that one) and several others I can't think of right now. Cinderella was definitely a more legitimate blues/rock band then hard rock IMO. Loved a couple tunes off that second CD.

"real rock bands" and Poison should never be mentioned within ten light years of each other. ;)Phinperor and Fin Fan In Cali like this. -

Seriously, as a singer, stuff like this terrifies me.
Not a good summer for front men with vocal problems, as previously evidenced by Jon Anderson's woes causing Yes to cancel their tour. (Dammitdammitdammit.) -

Hell...don't hold me to that. My luck they'll open for someone I really like and I'll end up seeing them.
