Circuit City files for bankruptcy protection - Yahoo! News
RICHMOND, Va. – Circuit City Stores Inc., the nation's second-biggest electronics retailer, filed for bankruptcy protection on Monday but plans to stay open for business as the busy holiday season approaches.
It said it decided to file for bankruptcy protection because it was facing pressure from vendors who threatened to withhold products during the holiday shopping period. The company also said it cut 700 more jobs at its headquarters, after announcing a week ago that it would close 20 percent of its stores and lay off thousands of workers.

This sucks...
Their 40 off 200 coupon has literrally made my life better ROFL
Seriously, that thing has helped me afford junk that my wife would've otherwise said 'NO' to.
I really hope that they can hold on as Best Buy, although I have nothing against them, blows when it comes to getting things cheap compared to CC.
Oh course, that depends on several factors but for me at least I buy there more than Best Buy unless I have reward zone $$$ saved up. -

Like for example...
I had a CC around me here that in '06 had a store coupon (only worked for that CC unfortunately) that was 5 bucks off of any game over 30...
I bought a ton of games there that otherwise I wouldnt of bought because they let me combine it with the 40 off 200.
Now granted....I am sure that the coupons might hurt there profits some but I dont think its that. I just think its that Best Buy really pushes advertising full throttle and people just follow that path instead of actually getting their hands on the deals that CC offers.
During any Phins game on TV, I'll see maybe one CC ad the entire game while I am sure to see BB ad every other commercial block.
