Probably the most emotional post game speech to date. Awesome. Maybe this one really was for him.
Guy totally has no control or love in that locker room:rolleyes:

They certainly like Joe as a person.

I've been on the Joe Philbin bashing bandwagon. But it's damn nice to see him give a confident speech like that after a great win just a couple days after his father passed.

Regardless of my opinions of his head coaching acumen, Philbin is a genuine class act.

Great game Coach! As much as you have dissapointed me in the past, most recently the Packers game you and your family are in my prayers and I love the way you had the team fired up from the start all the way to the finish..I really do hope that everyone from the top down is getting better and stronger in this..year 3 of your regime..I know that I as well as many other Dolfans would love for everyone associated with the team to keep getting better so we can keep continuity within the franchise and don't have to start from scratch again!! Again Coach....WAY TO GO!!!!

Just like a guy named Bill, Philbin has been winning when he gets good QB play. It's time to get off his back.

Philbin has had a tough road to hoe since the interview process and just keeps going. The man lost his son and still fulfilled everything to become the HC. He could have backed out and no one could have really blamed him. Same thing this weekend with his dad passing, he could have stayed away and no one could have really blamed him but he didn't. The man has pushed his chips into the middle of the table since before he got the job. Joe is all in and this team respects him for it. I have been critical of him at times but I really do hope that he gets the rewards he deserves for his sacrifice. God Bless You Joe.

He's a great hc. We are really lucky to have him. We suffered 20 yrs with some big name coaches lime Jimmy, Parcels, and Saban, watching boring losing football, they had no clue how make it work. Joe is better than all of them.

Had to be a great feeling for Philbin after the hellish week I'm sure he's had. Pretty awesome of him to leave his family, come back, coach the game, then go back to be with his family again. Hopefully this win took away some of the grief and pain he's felt this week, even if only temporary.
That being said, I really wish it had been someone like Tannehill, or Wake or a player to give him the game ball. Not Stephen Ross. Not that I'm one of the ones to run around yelling we need a new owner... I just think it would have been so nice to see Ross stay out of it, and see one of the team leaders step up with that notion for their head coach. I'm sure its not a big deal, and I actually think its good of Ross to do that, I would have just preferred to see a team leader dedicate it to their coach like that.mbsinmisc likes this. -

I know my Dad was looking down and was enjoying how happy today's game made me. This one was for all our Dad's.

Wow. That was incredibly emotional and moving. This team is so close.
And after watching the game, that speech and the players comments afterwards, no one can tell me these players don't love their coach. EVERYONE talked about playing for Joe and his family.unluckyluciano and ElNino like this. -

I just hope he got a nice hug from someone later. You can tell he wanted to give Ross a full hug and Ross gave him the shoulder. Poor guys is probably so emotional, hopefully he can go relax with his family for a couple days
-
I would be very surprised if there weren't a few hugs from some of the players for Philbin. They would mean a lot more off camera with some private condolences.
