COLES TO BILLS OR DOLPHINS
Posted by Aaron Wilson on March 1, 2009, 8:59 a.m.
No longer a New York Jet, free agent wide receiver Laveranues Coles is likely staying in the AFC East, according to Rich Cimini of the New York Daily News.

Per Cimini, Coles is ready to make a decision and will choose between the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins as soon as today. He places the “smart money” on the Dolphins landing the former Jets starter who played collegiately at Florida State.

Coles caught 70 passes for 850 yards and seven touchdowns last season for the Jets. For his career, Coles has caught 631 career passes for 8,095 yards and 44 touchdowns.

Zach Thomas: I played against New England twice a year every year my whole career. I learned to not like that team. I wasn't going to join them.

What a no brainer, that's like having to choose between being lit on fire or having a threesome with hot twins.

It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Cold weather high taxes, warm weather no taxes. Jesus the bills offer must be substantially higher just to even consider it!

 Hi Scott - how do you feel about him coming to the Dolphins? There is some question as to whether he's washed up or not - was watching it on ESPN.

He's coming to Mia. Their is NO way he would chose Buffalo over Mia if the money was at the least in the same ball park.

No really what's your name? Its Trey Wingo!:scooter:

Is he the same receiver he was a couple of years ago? No.

Then again...he did have Brett Farve throwing to him last year. That could be part of the problem. LOL

The only way he signs with Barfalo is if they wayyyy overpay him. Hes going to be overpaid regardless, but the Bills would have to break the bank for him to sign. I mean, one team is on the way up the other on a train going nowhere.

Even if LC has lost a step, he and CP have chemistry.

It would seem most logical for him to come to Miami but ive seen crazier things happen. We'll have to see. Odd that he most likely will remain in the AFC East though. The jets really need to learn how to not give players that they pissed off an opportunity to screw them over twice a year. I find it hillarious.

Doesn't look likely he comes here:

Source: Dolphins likely to pass on Laveranues Coles
by Brian Biggane

As much as Chad Pennington would love to have former Jets teammate Laveranues Coles in Miami, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

According to an NFL source, the Dolphins don’t perceive Coles as the No. 1 receiver they’ve been seeking and aren’t likely to pursue him in free agency.

Me too Steve. Michael Smith was on ESPN earlier and he was raving about Rex Ryan and Bart Scott and Sheppard. Said expect them to contend strongly in 2009, and expect the Dolphins to regress. Pissed me off man.
