OK gang,
This thread is only to be used for info gathering for me. Any OT posts WILL BE DELETED!!! Please keep it simple as this is the thread to post your requests for assistance in Flight, Hotel, Rental Car and Game tickets for the AZ game on Sept. 14, 2008. What you need to provide to me, if you would like assistance, is the following information:
Departure Airport:
Give 2 choices as 1 may be cheaper than the other and have a better flight plan. I.E. nonstop vs 1 stop or more.
Hotel needs:
How many are in your group and how many nights do you need a hotel room.
Car Rental:
Do you want a rental car? If so, what size/type?
Tickets to the Game:
How many tickets do you wish to purchase? My goal is to get a bulk deal from the CARDS front office on this.

BTW, The plan is to have everyone stay at the same hotel so if you decide to book or plan your own flight, please consider that. My goal is to try to get everyone into the same hotel and hopefully, the same hotel that the FINS will be staying at during their visit to AZ. If we can get enough people to commit to the same hotel, the prices would be A LOT CHEAPER!

Oakland Arport (OAK) is probably going to be the best bet for me. Flights out of there to Arizona all day long and pretty cheap. Backup would be out of Sacramento (SAC)
Attendees:
It is looking like me and the lil' lady (who can film the whole shebang as well). I will double check with her first to make sure she is absolutely going. Hotels needed on both Fri. and Sat. Night. Edit: I just spoke with the girl and she wants to know abouts how much we would be paying out of pocket. It will determine if she goes or not.
Car:
Don't worry about the car. If we decide to get one, we will make arrangements there.
Tickets:
And two tickets to the game.

I'm already been looking at flights from Denver, I do have family in the Phoenix area, but if the price is right, I'd love to stay at the hotel. As far as tickets goes, I have cousins looking around and should be able to find some. I only need one, but it would be nice to sit next to all the Dolphins fans there.

Airport: Primary, Santa Maria, CA (SMX) (United 1-stop)
Secondary San Luis Obispo, CA (SBP) (US Air non-stop)
Third Option Santa Barbara (SBA) (non-stop)
Hotel: 2 persons, two beds(me and my mom), 2 nights (Saturday/Sunday) (note: I do have Holiday Inn, Starwood, Hilton, and Raddison point accounts)
Rental Car: Full Size with Air. GPS helpful

Just an idea......
When it gets closer, maybe some of us can split hotel rooms with each other?
Also maybe some of us can rent a van for 5-6 people?
Just thinking for those of us who are coming by ourselfs. -
Right now I'm thinking of flying in on Thursday and staying Thursday and Friday with family, but on Saturday stay with the Dolphins group somewhere. I can get around Thursday and Friday with cousins and such, but the weekend is still up in the air. I'm planning on flying back to Denver on Monday.

Brother Ken, just let me know if you need help with the hotels. I just want to get the word out as to what hotel we decide to stay at so we can all be at the same one. That is how I met Brother Screamer, and Darkoak one year.:wink2: I may fly or drive and pick up Brother Jeff in San Diego.

Will do brother... I am currently working with someone that has inside access to the FINS hotel arrangements. I am hoping to get that info as early as possible because I would like for all of us to stay in the same hotel as the team.

Naw man it was nice. I need the sun to get my tan on early this year. I went went to Miami last year to watch the Dolphins vs raiders game and was planning on hitting up the UM vs Duke game on Saturday but wasn't used to the SUN and got my fat belly so burned I couldn't hardly move to go to the UM game :-( Never had been to the Orange Bowl and was looking forward to it before they quit there. So bring on the heat!
