I have to say I'm happy for him. He put on his big boy pants this year.

    Totally deserved.

Looks to be around 20s of the NFL receivers salary

According to multiple reports, Parker is finalizing a four-year extension in Miami. NFL Media reports that the deal is worth $40 million with $21.5 million in guaranteed money and an $8 million signing bonus.

The extension comes amid Parker’s best NFL season. He’s caught 55 passes for 882 yards and six touchdowns after signing a one-year deal to return to the Dolphins after signing a new contract with Miami this offseason. That deal had a team option for 2020 that called for Parker to make a $4.4 million salary, but his play this year led to a significant bump on that total.

The upside is getting him locked up on a deal nowhere near top WR money.

The downside? This year was a fluke. He stayed healthy for most of the year for the first time in his career. Never happened before, might never happen again. I hope he strings together at least several healthy seasons and we can forget about his first four years.

It's a good gamble by the Dolphin front office.

Even if his play falls off, he won't be overpaid....unless he totally tanks, which I don't believe anybody thinks will happen.

    Good gamble indeed.

    Good to see.
    Both sides are being reasonable.
I remember previous Dolphins FOs would try to screw the player down for hometown discounts/risk of injury only to see them play out their contract then walk away.
Also Kudos to Parker for recognizing that the Dolphins have stood by him and given him more opportunities than many of us here in the forums would have.

Upside is still there too, just probably figuring out how to play in this league at a high level consistently

Honestly, that's basically a deal considering that we were debating whether or not Landry was worth $18M/yr a few seasons back. Locking down Parker for 10M is a smart move and it doesn't cripple us either.

This is a great deal for the Dolphins.

Hopefully you guys have a great season next year

You guys def have alot of ammo in the draft. Maybe the GM atleast hits on some awesome players.

Dont sell the farm on a QB prospect though. Let it come to you guys just like Mahomes did for the Chiefs.

Looking like a better deal every week.

I really hope we get a great QB to pair with Parker. I was cautiously optimistic of him early this season, but I've always been in love with his game and potential physical presence.

No joke, I think he can hit 1,500 yards with the right QB.

Exactly. I think If we had the #1 slot it would be Burrow. I don't think Tua is worth the injury risk in the top 5 right now and I darn sure don't want to spend capital like that on a question mark. If Burrow and Young (if he comes out) are gone before we are on the clock I try to work out a trade back. Getting a bad feeling about Tua.
