Coming into this week i thought there was a decent chance that every team in the AFC East lost. Unlikely, but looking at the opponents of the AFC East this week of all weeks its possible the division goes winless despite being a very good division imo. What this means is if the Dolphins can take care of business and find a way to win it could be the perfect start to the season topped off with a NE victory in week 2 but lets not get ahead of myself. Bengals and Cards are both talented teams obviously capable of beating the Jets and Pats. The Ravens are fairly mediocre but so are the Bills. So far so good with the Bengals and Ravens leading the Jets/Bills.

If the Jets lose due to a missed PAT and/or a missed chip shot FG even better! :)

Indeed, and they got robbed last year. Not a lot of teams go 10-6 and miss out on the Play-offs. Call me crazy but I think Fitzpatrick had a good year last year and he's beginning to look like a mature QB. He's a guy who's pretty comfortable in that offense and certainly could emerge as a tough-to-fool QB this year. He's got so many weapons up there. With Forte now there, it's an offense that can burn you several different ways.
The Bills on the other hand I think are a team that may be stuck at 8-8. I was not impressed at all with Tyrod Taylor today against a mediocre Ravens defense. I thought he generally looked out of his depth and ill-prepared. He was staring his guys down and didn't display much if any anticipation. Oh, and he seemed the miss high a lot because the odds are on them to make a move if anyone does.
So yeah, the Dolfan in me says 'Go Miami' but the football fan in me is kind of anxious to see how well New York can take advantage of a weakened division. -
Guys.. a LOT hangs on the next game with NE. If NE with Crappolo (did I spell that wrong?) loses and looks weakened at more than just QB, the AFC East might finally be competitive enough for someone (maybe us maybe not) to dethrone the Pats.
Well we'll see. Either way, a loss to Seattle was expected (though NOT the way we lost) and our defense showed well, so it's really the state of NE that's key now. Still room for optimism is all I'm saying.
