A loss sunday, and coyle is fired for sure, who else?

Depends on how they lose. If they go out there and blow again, it might be Joey himself. I know Ross has been blind to the raging incompetence of this staff, but I believe even he is starting to see the light.
Going into the bye week, anything is possible.Phins_Fan_87 likes this. -
Eh... The alternative in house change wont change anything... And the alternative is Lazor. Hes not much of an upgrade over Philbin. Doubt ross makes the change, hes praying the dolphins win so that the gullible masochists buy tickets to show up to his shiny refurbished stadium.

Who is this guy? Never heard of him.

I just don't see any good coaches on this team to promote. Even if they fired Coyle, there is no defensive position coach who has his unit playing at a high level.
Basically all they would be doing is making a change to appear to be doing something. This change would only occur if the Dolphins lose to the Jets and go to 1-3 for the season. With that record after four games, any coaching change would only be temporary because as soon as the season is complete, this entire coaching staff needs to be changed. -
I'm wondering if I should stop pointing out how stupid these types of reports are, then build a website of my own and take advantage of how gullible fans can be. If you can't beat em join em.

Jeff Darlington reported the same thing about 15 minutes ago on ESPN.

I still think lazor is talented, biggest issue is philbin's queesyness is starting to rub off on lazor. I dont think philbin would be fired tomorrow, but coyle needs to go regardless.

I remember back in week 4 of 2014 when the discussion was about whether Tannehill was a bust and if the team needed to go with Moore and look for a long term answer at QB during the offseason.
Philbin was the idiot coach who refused to bow to media pressure to name him the starter. Or was he just staying the obvious, that Tannehill wasn't good enough to be a starter in the NFL. Not making this up. It actually happened. -
lol.
Let me ask a simple question...why should the outcome of Sunday's game have anything to do with whether someone gets fired or not?
Mr. Ross, you either want him or you don't. That's the way the world works. -

Common sense would dictate that if they lose, and especially if they lose bad, a coaching change would be likely. But, and as has already been pointed out, with who? Who on this team would be a better option than Clueless Joe? Lazor? Man, play calling has been a friggin' joke this season. If that's Lazor making those calls, that would scare the crap outta me. But, if it's been Joe overriding Lazor with some of these calls, well then...

Coyle off the bat, he has failed since last yr, his guys should know this scheme inside and out by now, instead, we have wr's running w/o anyone within 3 yds of them..consistently.
I've lost car keys, wallets, phones, never lost a 200 pd plus player running on a football field.RGF and Phins_Fan_87 like this. -

Randi Gefflin - who? Some sports writer who isn't local scoops the 40 local beat writers? Not likely.
More likely - his "sources" are some local beat writer speculating with nothing to base it on.
Not that Coyle SHOULDN'T be fired, if there was anyone to replace him with, and not saying Gefflin's sources aren't legit, but I suspect he was talking with some Miami beat writer at a bar who came up with "could be some coaching changes if Phins lose" - and he ran with it. -
Well the obvious choice is coyle if reports are true. That guy needs to go win or loose. There is no one on the staff to replace him but whom ever takes over cant be worse. If we loose season is over anyway, might as well fire the coach. Clean house, play for next year and put all the young guys, see what we have

Kevin Coyle hasn't done anything to maximize the talent on the D-line which worries me.
I can understand why the LBs and DBs haven't looked particularly good. They aren't good.
However, I'm just here to tell you guys...the defensive staff behind Coyle is not good. -

Either way both Philbin, and Coyle are gone. Lazor too if things continue to go to Hell.
-
We still have the problem of Lazor and Coyle. As much as I'd like to see Philbin fired, this aint fixing the problem this season.
-
I don't get the faith some are putting in Philbin. Dude just doesn't seem to be able to get it done.

If Lazor is our interim HC we're still probably F'd. His offensive play calling has been atrocious. Even when we had Albert, and played garbage teams. It would be an absolute miracle if he somehow turned it around.
Also, if Coyle also gets fired. Who replaces him at DC? Secondary Coach?

Philbin won't get fired next week. Ross will force him to fire Coyle if we lose.

Philbin is definitely safe especially if he has a .500 record headed to Week 12..
But if we're something like 3-8 after Week 12 I can definitely see the firing coming then. Firing him after tomorrow (if we get blown out), won't make a difference. We don't have a single coach on the staff that is head coaching material. Lazor will be a tight end/receivers coach after his Miami gig.. no one is looking for him, he's a terrible OC..
