The kick return game was horrible and has been for some time. I just don't get how a pro team can be consistently that bad. I've been praying for touchbacks on every kickoff for the whole season.
I think it would have made a big difference if Philbin had taken a page out of Sporano's book and run three straight times on the second to last possession. Carolina would probably have been limited to a field goal and we go to over time.

This team has said they will be aggressive with the game on the line. We miss some of these plays but it will serve us well when we are actually capable of winning in this fashion. Tannehill needs the experience throwing the ball with the game on the line.PhinGeneral likes this.

Thigpen has been a major disappointment in the return game. His decision to run the final kickoff out, and barely get us to the 15 made me really want to scream. He's got the ability to break one, but he spends too much time trying to be cute, he ran sideways way too much today.

Ive been praying for touchbacks all season long. Ive never seen an NFL team as bad at kick returns.

I'm convinced if Thigpen had 50 open yards in front of him, he'd still only get 7.

This is true for almost all his punt returns too. I'd much rather see Matthews (or someone else) get a chance back there at punt returner. Put Marlon Moore in at KR for all I care. Can't be worse than Thigpen IMO.
