Joshua Cribbs on the block! Just saw it on NFL Network then found this link as well. According to NFL Network his agent says "Joshua Cribbs will never step foot in that facility again"
Quotes from article:
"I did all the playing I'm going to play on this contract," he said. "I ain't doing nothing, I'm not showing my face until it's right."
Schaffer and Cribbs' other agent, J.R. Rickert, said they did not want to take things public, but that the team left them no choice.
"He's not playing there anymore after getting treated that way," Rickert said in a text message.

Cribbs would be pretty crazy in the Wildcat.
-
He was just on the news here in Cleveland - they stopped him after the Cavs game for an interview and he, in the nicest and most respectful way possible, said he was insulted and frustrated with what the Browns offered.
That being said - I can't see this team letting him go. He is the one thing this team has and the fans love the guy. It would be a PR nightmare to trade him and this team's fans are hanging on by a thread. -
Yea that's what I thought as well, then they said they offered him 1.4 mil a year on I think it was a 6year deal with a 400,000 signing bonus. Apparently he has 2 agents one says they gave Cleveland until midnight (when the story broke) to come up with a reasonable offer. So it seems midnight has passed and now they are saying he will not be playing for Cleveland next year.
Should be pretty interesting to follow. -
Great return guy, great in the cat. To bad he's not been a better receiver.

Put 20 pounds on Pat White and we have our own Cribbs, already on the roster and paid for......

Seriously...White should be living on whey protein, and in the gym all offseaon...and he could have Ginn as a roomie. But defintely bulk White up and stick him out at receiver. One could hope he could be as good as Kordell Stewart was for those couple of seasons.

He didn't accomplish what he did in college and become a top prospect on the strength of his passing..........he was an elusive runner -

I have Sirius radio and was listening to the Nfl channel and they interviewed him. He complained the offer they gave him way too low and insulting. They then asked Cribbs if he demanded to be traded and he said no he wants to stay in Cleveland but unless he isn't paid what a player of his stats deserves he would not play in Cleveland next year. They ended the show by giving Cribbs advice to sit back for a bit and take a deep breath because Holgram is just coming in and there's front office distractions at the moment.

Yeah I'd trade Pat White, Ginn, Wilson and throw in our hottest cheerleader to get him....but the reality it's unlikely we even look in his direction.
White is plenty fast, plenty quick.....add some weight on him and he'll do....he may not ever be what Cribbs is, but he's on our roster and we need to do something with him anyway. -
White is fast and quick enough to be a wr but I don't disagree with that. I also don't know about adding too much weight either. I doubt he changes postionjetssuck likes this. -
they should trade him for picks. that team has many holes to fill. hes their best player but on most teams he wouldnt be a starter. hes basically what Ted Ginn was suppost to be.

This is something else I found interesting that I didn't know. You see to me Cribbs looks a lot larger than white. Well he is "Now" but it height/weight coming out of college is very similar to White.
Pat White:
- Height: 6'0"
- Weight: 197
- 40 Time: 4.55
Josh Cribbs:
- Hieght: 6'0.5"
- Weight: 195
- 40 Time: 4.61
