This game looks pretty sick. I think I'm def going to get it. Anyone else looking forward to it? It releases a week from tomorrow. Sounds like a cool story, and some of the gameplay looks fun. A shame there is no demo though.
I think this has to be among the hottest new releases no? Is there anything else coming up in January or released since December worth getting? Since Assassin's Creed 2, I've just been waiting.

thanks, tex. i tried mass effect 1, it was just too big and long for me, while not blowing me away. the next gen FF will be the only game i give that kind of time to. i like a 5-20 hour game WITH some side stuff and goofin around. anything over is tough for me.

Its not for everyone, but if you can get to the end its well worth it imo. :up:
Im a scifi junkie though and love epic storylines, so it went right into what I enjoy.
Darksiders looks interesting though, but I may be relatively cash impaired soon lol. -
Darksiders - 360, PS3
Has anyone even heard of this game? It leaked last night and it is pretty F'n cool. Only got 30 or so mins game time in (damn you Dragon Age), but from what I can tell it's a God of War type game. I won't call it a clone yet because there seems to be significant differences in gameplay and things to do.
Excellent graphics and art style mixed with what looks like an *** kicking story seems win. Let you guys know more when I play Mor (woot!).

This game kicks some serious ***. The only way to describe it is Zelda + God of War + a dash of Metroid Prime. It looks good, plays great, has an awesome story, and there's tons of exploring, puzzling, and fighting. Both Sony and Nintendo could learn a few things from this game. Must buy for any adventure lover.
Sad part. The game comes out in a week or so (i think) and there's no ads, hype, or anything on it. It'll probably be the best game nobody plays. Ther only reason I even looked into it is because it leaked and I had no idea what Darksiders was so I did research. its got some minor hype among gamers, i think. i cant wait for it. but yeah, no marketing, not even a demo. maybe their waiting for initial buzz and reviews, before dropping more money into an ad campaign?
im on it. its non-exclusive too. but with a game, not so well discussed, i wonder which platform it will be better on. theres not a ton of info out there. -

The game is freaking bad ***. I cant stress this enough. If you like Zelda, God of War, Metroid, or classic castlevania.... YOU WILL LOVE THIS

I have sworn off buying new games until I finally beat Assasins Creed II, Batman Arkham Asylem and Infamous. I have the problem of starting a game, getting half way through and quitting and buying a new game.
I haven't decided whether or not to put Brutal Legend on that list. I do not know if I really like that game.
This will be put to the test when Final Fantasy XIII is out. -

I just bought Infamous because I had a $25 gift card, I am playing AC2 right now and I got stuck in Batman so I put it down and I haven't picked it back up because I got Dragon Age Origins, which I played a ridiculous amount of, 40 hours in one week to be precise.

as heads up, im hearing there is screen tearing on the 360 version of this game. Can anyone confirm? if you have both consoles, and are shelling out the $60...it seems the PS3 is the stronger system for this game. While learning this, I also heard that Bayonetta is WAY better on the 360, and terrible on the PS3.

Cant speak for the PS3 version, but the 360 version has some screen tearing. Nothing any worse that what you see in Mass Effect

The one part I disagree with BIG time in this review is that the story is difficult to follow. I think the story is freaking awesome. They compared it to Bayonetta which I thought is ridiculous because Baytonetta has one of those Japanese stories that makes no sense unless you read all of the Mangas associated with it. Darksiders is simply Heaven VS Hell and you're kinda stuck in the middle.Sethdaddy8 likes this. -
i got about 90 minutes in last night. im not sure i see all the comparisons to Zelda just yet. perhaps its cause im just scratching the surface? but so far im enjoying it.

in the beginning it's all action (god of war-ish). As you start going into the different areas, getting the different weapons, and going through the "dungeons", you'll start to see the Zelda side of it.
