Until we actually see this video I'm skeptical.

No reputable media has reported on it and if it's that explosive, it's hard to believe it hasn't come out. Also, anything that explosive would almost certainly have some kind of police activity with it. Since nobody has found that, my gut tells me this is bS

from what I read this is the hold up with the bryant/cowgurl negotiations. It's a rumor at the moment and no one can seem to find the video. If it exists TMZ will get it and put it out there.........

I just don't believe there's a video that all the "insiders" can't get their hands on.

This reminds me of the rumor a few years ago that bonnie Bernstein and Bill belichick were having an affair. all "insiders" knew that too and it turned out to be BS.

Just because you work for a team or the league doesn't make you immune to falling for a scam.

This rumor works because it fits with Dez's image (whether justified or not) and since the Ray Rice video, videos that are super secret are all the rage.

I'm gonna have to see this one to believe it

A deadline was set by Bryant's former friends/extortionists for today for either TMZ or Bryant's team to purchase the tape.

 

Sounds more like a sex tape than a beating up women tape, again if it even exists.

It is not "literally nothing". Even if the tweets from JaywanInc (who?) are false, there is still the realistic possibility that there is some dirt on Dez out there. Even if there isn't, the phrase "perception is reality" comes into play, and will definitely have a negative impact on his reputation within the NFL, his public image, future contract negotiations, etc.

That is if everything is false. Usually where there is smoke there is fire. Also, this whole story with his ex-friends business jives with Dez's response taken from my first link.



I think he is already in damage control knowing all too well that something is coming of this.

 

So Dez tweeted five days ago about past friends and now some guy says past associates are the problem. It's just as likely that this guy saw Dez's tweets and then wrote his stuff.

like I said, if there is something out there then fine. Let's see what it is. But until I actually see it, I'm skeptical.

And if nothing comes out, then all this rumor mongering is incredibly irresponsible and unfair

 

Hey, I agree bro, I'm definitely not jumping to conclusions. IMO, there is more suggesting this isn't a false flag than the opposite . My line of thinking is Dez didn't have to respond at all if there wasn't anything on him. We'll see. If there is anything out there I just hope it is strictly embarrassing (like a sex tape) rather than seeing another young guy with so much potential ruin a promising career.

I do buy it simply because I live near Toronto and this is exactly how the crack story started. It had been rumored and speculated by blogs long before Gawker and the Toronto Star got involved. It sounds like his ex thug buddies are holding an old video.

So, there's a police report regarding an incident, where it's not even clear if Dez was even at the scene prior to police arrival, no arrests were made and the cop determined that no criminal offense occurred, and this is the "worse than Ray Rice incident"?

The whole thing makes no sense and these reports certainly don't seem to match the breathless "reporting" of Mike Florio and other gossips

 

If there is a video of Dez (taken by a ex-friend showing it is clearly him) dragging a woman into a car that is pretty bad. Not Ray Rice bad, but it could still be pretty damn bad.

 

That's consider kidnapping isn't it? That is worse than assault.

 

well depending on how he did it what? assault, kidnapping, lying to the police afterwards, making the girl lie to the police.
On another note dez's camp is saying the cowboys are perpetuating this rumor to drive down his price. I can't really see that as to me, that would make dez hostile. I don't think you'd want to do someone that low and then sign them long term.
