No this is not a playoff team, and the man responsible for putting this team together is Ireland so yes he should be gone. He can take Philbin, Sherman, Coyle and the rest of the circus with him.

Funny though, I think the team has the talent to be a playoff team, we've just been getting out coached imo. Sherman paticularly.

Because this is the argument you are making by saying the team has talent but is getting out coached. It is the same mistake fans made when they wanted Tony Sparano gone. "We had talent, we just got outcoached."

Now, I'm not trying to make a case to keep Joe Philbin, because I would clean everyone out at this point. I am making the case that this string of seasons we have had where we have not had a winning season is far more on Ireland than it is on coaching.

I think there is talent on this team, but the talent acquired just doesn't fit together well. It's like pieces of a puzzle, that came from different puzzles. And I think the coaches don't maximize the talents that are there, or they're very slow to recognize it. IMO plenty of blame for both.

We would have to win out to get a chance at the last seed at this point. Don't see that happening, I think the wild card teams will be Pittsburgh and Kansas City. Which is weird at one point it looked like Pittsburgh won't win a game this season and then Tomlin turned things around.

It's like a square peg in a round hole and I'm assuming it is from the coaching side. The flip side is the coaches would say teh FO gave them lettuce and told them to make steak. It feels like the FO and Philbin have not been on the same page.
