I was reflecting on it and realized I can't recall one single dream that happened in the first person perspective. I've been reading online a lot and it seems like most people tend to dream in first with the occasional third person. In my experience the only first person perspective I have will be for a very very very brief moment before switching right back to third. Even in that perspective it's more like a camera change than an actual first person perspective.
So how do you guys dream?

AFAIK, I have never dreamt in 3rd person.

During a wet dream?

I don't dream in third person. Likely because I am not obsessed with looking at myself :pointlol:
-
I have had some dreams in third person, but overwhelmingly usually in first. I have had dreams where I am other people as well
-
Me neither.

Yeah that's odd I can only recall dreaming in the first person.

Jerk
This poll is basically confirming what I thought though. I'm weird. -
Yeah, don't really remember a dream in 3rd person.

Geeze there has to be one other freak like me on the forum! I'd have bet on Lmeister but even he is more normal than I am in dream world!

You all ever been really sleep deprived and then you lay down fall asleep and wake up 20 minutes later feeling incredibly rested (I'm talking you feel like you have slept the whole night) and vividly remembering your dream?
That's usually the only time I remember my dreams lol. -

I'm usually first person, but have been third person too. Not sure why that sometimes happens. I have shifting Point of View in some dreams.
Sometimes it's not even me. I'm my awareness but I realize I am someone else. Or I see myself like in a movie.
Usually I'm me and in first person though.Alex44 likes this. -
Psychotherapists say it is very common with serial killers. Disconnect from self.
Good luck.UCF FINatic, Killer Bees and Alex44 like this. -
Yeah I used to have pretty bad insomnia so I'd stay up for crazy amounts of time, but sometimes I'd barely sleep at all and wake up with lots of energy. It usually faded quickly though, but I'd remember any dreams I had those naps. -
Pshhhh. I've read third person means you're using the more "creative" parts of your brain rather than literal. I've also read that third person dreams tend to happen most in non-REM sleep.
Besides...you dont want to upset a potential serial killer do you Barry? KIDDING
