I have tested these guys..and I like what I see. I think their team metrics are the best in the business.
They have the Fins as the 4th best team:

Ugh, just to soon to really see what we have from a stats pov.
4 games in, much better idea of trends and who is rising and playing well. -
Thanks. I love when someone points me to a new website.
If I have time this week, I will look deeper into these stats wit the intention of matching them against point spreads on a basic level to try to determine correlation there on the surface level, disregarding Home/Away, Injuries, Turf/Grass, etc to see what I come up with - on a merely evaluation basis for week 3. -
Interesting, they have us higher rated on O than D.
-
Do they discuss their methodology anywhere?
-
I wasn't able to get to the page that explains their methodology. The link just kept sending back to their home page? I do tend to focus on efficiency as they claim they do, but I don't know what stats they look at to define efficiency.
Bpk likes this. -

EDIT: actually seems almost identical to EPA. -
My impression was that it was similar to DVOA but based on a per drive expectation rather than on a per play expectation. My gut says that such a strategy may eliminate some of the "noise" and may end up being both more reflective of what happened and more predictive going forward.

I like this particular stat posted by Erik Frenz (Patriot beat writer on Bleacher Report) on twitter from PFF
