That's what Mike & Mike are saying this morning on their handling of Sparano/Harbaugh. Golic added rediculous to meeting with Harbough while not firing Sparano.
The also questioned Harbaugh for not showing professional courtesy in meeting with Ross.
If Ross doesn't sign Harbaugh, this will affect Sparano's respect from players. This just keeps getting better and better.

Mike & Mike are full of ****. They are trying to get ratings. Believe me, they don't really think this way. They know what's up...
-
Who cares what the national media thinks?
I agree it's not an ideal situation, but it is what it is and Ross is doing what he feels he needs to do for the future of the franchise. -
For whatever it's worth, they had former HC Billick on, who also questioned the Harbaugh meeting. Whatever.
I believe that Ross was waiting and hoping for Fisher. He is in the most difficult position of any owner this year. No CBA, 20,000 empty seats, fans love Nolan, hate Henning, and a team quitting. Fisher would have bailed him out.
Now, I believe he has to make a move. -
They don't get it, do they?
The players already don't respect the coaching staff. Have they not seen the quotes coming out from the players?
What they don't understand is that while we are trying to get better, we are making sure we have a backup plan in place.
How many times does a team try and trade for a QB when they already have a QB on the roster? It happens all the time. This is no different. We are looking for a better coach while we have one on the roster.
What is worse...doing what Ross is doing or doing like Houston & Jags are doing where they tell the coach you have 1 year to get it right or else? Jags year in and year out are going to fire Del Rio, yet they end up bringing him back. Now he has the ultimatum....playoffs next year or you are fired. How is that for the team?
Iyam...we are already screwed up. We either stay screwed up for 1 more year or we bring a guy in with some medicine to fix us. I say the latter is the way to go and you do whatever you have to do to make that happen. If that means a little hurt feelings here or there, so be it. -

First, Greeny is a weeny - nough said.
Second, Golic is the most hyper-sensitive ex-defensive tackle in the history of the NFL.
Third, as has been noted by myself and several others ad-infinitum in the last 15 hours - what they are doing with Sparano is no different than what teams (including Sparano himself) do with courting free agent players while there is a veteran incumbent at the same position.
I wrote off Mike & Mike a while back. They are unbearable and way too full of themselves. Their greatest appeal is that wives like them.
I actually wish that Dan Patrick went up against them for the full set instead of only crossing over one hour. Patrick alone is more entertaining and has a better take on virtually every sports scenario than the M&M boys do - combined! (Of course, he's not always right, but generally so). -
Classless my ***, are you a fan or not? if not the Jest forums are that way ---> http://forums.newyorkjets.com/
Ross is doing what has to be done, love it or leave it. I love it it sends a message to Sparano and at the same time its handling business. I prefer Cowher but any "good" change will do.Ohio Fanatic likes this. -
I have no doubt Ross informed Sparano Monday that he would be courting other coaches. People act like Sparano had no clue what was going on, I just hope its all over come Saturday.

IF you are the later of the two, I am sorry you did not understand the thread and my post. -
I believe that as well. He told him, you are our coach right now but we are also going to be looking at some other options.

Sorry, gonna agree here. Ross is acting in a classless manner. Tony should be cut or his tenure affirmed, not strung along as a fall back if something else doesn't pan out.

its just business & had Sparano taken care of business
when he had the opportunity none of this would be going down.
Ross is a good thing for the franchise, Sparano is not -
I'm not sure how classless it all is but the Dolphins sure do look foolish.

Wonder is anyone thought the Phins were classless when Sparano cut all those players before the season....or put Will Allen on injured reserve before he really needed to.
Sparano knows and has known what is going on.
Its business....Im behind Ross 100% on this. We dont need a weenie for an owner. We need someone who is willing to cut it loose to make our team Champions!!!MarinePhinFan likes this. -

And if Harbaugh is as good a coach as I think he is....we wont look foolish for very long.
And beside...Ill take how foolish this looks....vs how foolish we looked only winning 1 game at home all year , any day and twice on Sundays -
Umm...I heard we RESIGNED a third string QB??? I didnt know that that guy and the other OL resigneee were even on this team!!!!

Greenbi*ch is a jests fan...that about sums it up...

He was a nobody in the NFL, Ross paid a billion for this team and I'm glad he is doing what he can to turn this team around.
Nobody feels bad for Ross inheriting this Parcell mess, and still paying Parcells salary and Sporano is collecting his.
Nobody cares about the stadium being half empty while the other half is filled by the visiting teams fans.
**** these guys Ross is doing the right thing and as a fan he has my support, what this regime has done is fleece the team and the fans. -
-
Has nay of these douche bags in the press said a word about how classless Parcells has been by turning his back on the team and his owner when they needed him most.
What we saw this season was Toni's coaching ability without Parcells telling him what to do.
Meanwhile NFL network is doing Parcell's Documentary on his career without including the Fins complete failure.
Parcells and his hand picked buddies are still getting paid. -

Thats the point...you are assuming you know what is going on....you dont know anything. Your taking everything the media is saying and running with it....
And...uh...yeh...other coaches will listen to an owner who is hands off and willing to sign a big check.
How many times did Billy Martin get hired and fired by Steinbrenner?
We win....this wont even be a memory -

Billy Martin is a GREAT example for this discussion. Perhaps, you may consider sticking with baseball in NY? LOL -
