unless the intent is their, its not worthy of a suspension. big hits are going to happen no matter what, its part of the game and their is no way around it unless they make it 2 hand touch.

Well, it does not surprise me one bit. I do think Crowder is average. Sometimes he shows a flash of good, then he wiffs. Never great. To me, Crowder is saying, hey look, I'm not great so I will do what it takes. Things like using his big mouth to try and get into other players heads, using a clothesline if someone slips by him, or tripping, or using his helmet to try and knock a player out.

 

When I played ball I was tought how to wrap up and tackle guys. IMO if you take away the "missile" tackles you might be surprised how many of the NFL elites dissapear under the radar. Its just like in the NBA where the dunk and the flashy plays have taken over. Players have forgotten about fundamentals.

 

I was taught that as well, however nothing is as fun as launching and hitting a guy.

 

True but its not fun to go to a guys hospital room that you just paralyzed with a helmet to helmet hit is all I'm saying. I agree I love the big hits, but eventually you have to start protecting these guy's longterm health.

 

I think this Chowder dude is cool, IMO. If you had ten more like him, maybe you wouldn't give up 24+ to the Steelers on Sunday, either....the AFC East is like the Pac-Ten, they only hit you with their purse. :bag:
