and CrunchTime like this.
It doesnt really count against the cap but
Dolphins not expected to re-sign Jimmy Wilson before start of free agency

Dont let the door hit you on the way out.:wink2:
There are some teams out there who think he has quite a bit of upside so I expect he will sign somewhere else.I think he will benefit from the change of teams .
Killer Bees likes this.
I support both moves especially in light of Garner's considering retirement.
I wonder if the team was high on Wilson because he was versatile enough to play multiple positions (CB, S, nickel). My issue has always been that versatility doesn't mean squat if you're mediocre at everything.
Cortland Finnegan chopped.
Sad to hear about Garner in regards to concussion symptoms lingering. In regards to money good move as he can be easily replaced with younger, cheaper and more durable backup. Resign Jason Fox as swing tackle and find a suitable backup guard.
good riddance with Finnegan, and hopefully staff learns from it. If you wanna go FA don't get declining guy, go get a Kareem Jackson this offseason if thats the route we are going. Reports read it's hard for a rookie to be relied upon to grasp Coyle's system. Also hard to figure Taylor or Davis relied upon to start. Have heard Flowers named rumored and not a terrible move but he is 29 not a long term investment like we need.
Jimmy Wilson kind of surprised to hear that but hopefully staff believes Michael Thomas can fill the void in Nickel/Backup FS mode.
Didn't know that part. I would have thought differently...
Garner, Finnegan... No big losses there.
Wilson not coming back... Good news. Maybe we can find a depth guy like him that can at least tackle and cover.
:butthead:
Waiting for June 1st to cut Ellerbe is the right move, especially since we don't have anyone who can play MLB right now.
