I'm extremely excited that we are going to the playoffs. It has been a long 8 years. My prediction for this game is that the Steelers will win. I don't think that Tannehill should play unless he is 100%; no sense in risking him for the future. Our defense is going to lose this one for us. Miami lacks coaching on the defensive side and it is proven by the fact that we are 30th in defense and give up 141 rushing ypg. This is the worse defense that we have had in 15+ years. However, I think that if Ben "the rapist" gets injured, we will have a chance. VJ fan boys, go ahead and make the excuses but the facts are what they are. 34 to 20 for Steelers.
Maybe Denver will do us a favor and hire VJ for their HC. Then we can hire a real DC.

Sounds like a pessimistic bunch of crap. Grow a pair and support your team none of this wishy wash stuff

Eh it wouldn't be devastating if we lost. Most of our best players are out for the year or are banged up. I'm just happy we got this far. A silver lining if we lost, Pitt is the only team I think that can realistically beat the Patriots in the playoffs. Chiefs are going to choke like always. Pitt always gets their act together come playoff time. So while I'm of course hoping we win, I'll be just mildly disappointed if we lost.

Win or lose, I am proud of what the team was able to accomplish this year. I am just going to sit back and see what happens. A loss next week would not be the end of the world. I feel positive that team will improve and get better next year.

However, whether we made the playoffs or not, a couple realistic/disturbing trends keep bubbling up. I know we lack talent, based on injuries, I just hope we can fix this in the offseason. -
It's a new season.

I to am glad the team made it to the playoffs and really don't see them going to the next round. As far as this being the worst defense I don't agree.I know they gave up a lot of yards but there have been worse.

When they showed the playoff schedule during the Dolphin game, the first thing that came into my mind was : "Ooh, Pittsburgh vs New England; that will be a good game and I think Pittsburgh could win that."
It didn't help that the Dolphins were embarrassing themselves while that graphic was posted.
Ironically, the game was 20-14 and all seemed possible until our back-up to back-up safety whiffed like a ***** on a tackle against Edelman and the play wound up getting our starting cornerback nearly ****ing killed and essentially ended the game.
The Dolphins get some credit (some) for fighting back but that Patriot team coulda put 50 on us if they so desired.
So, that is the prism in which next Sunday's game will be reflected. -
Also, Greg Cote is out of his damn mind and it's 100% insulting to suggest that if Miami loses to Pittsburgh that 'effort' would be any kind of factor.
No amount of 'trying harder' is going to be the difference. Either we fall into some kind of spectacular luck or we're gonna see something like we saw yesterday. We're talking about 'gravity' here. A profoundly flawed roster, beat up with injuries and with neophyte coaches, one of which likely proving to be totally out of his depth.
If Miami isn't taking a very hard look at Vance Joseph's viability and at least considering alternatives then 'we're back to the playoff desert next year. Way too many games where our guys look like headless chickens. -

I sense some serious home cooking going on next week to get Pitt vs Pats the week after.
