Those are my first and second choices for our 2a pick. I hope one of them is still there. ;)

Robiskie I would be ok with at 2b, not 2a.
Britt should be gone before 44, but if not I hope we snatch him up.Regan21286 likes this. -

Hakeem Nicks is the WR we want with the 25th pick, if we don't take Alex Mack. I think Britt would be a
good pick at 2A....I doubt Nicks would still be on the board after the 1st round. -
Im really on the Robiskie bandwagon, I think hes going to be alot like TJ Howsyamomma. I think he can be the 70 catch 800-1000 yard receiver. Hes got good size at a shade under 6'3 and he understands how to run routes. Im a BIG fan...

I'd prefer taking Ramses Barden in Rd 3 or 4.
Or Hakeem Nicks if he makes it to #25. -
I don't get what makes Nicks at 25 more valuable than Britt at 44 to be honest (though I think Britt will be gone before that). Barden in rd 4 would be great, but I'd expect him to be gone some time in rd 3.
-
Barden shouldn't even be touched until the 4th but some eager GM could take him before then. -
I dont see Nicks going before 25 to be honest. Crabtree, Macklin, Harvin and Heyward-Bey are all ahead of him imo and I dont see 5 teams going WR in the first. I doubt he makes it to 44, but doubt we take him at 25 unless there is a total lack of defenders, which I doubt.
Britt at 44 is a possibility, but I think that will heavily depend on who else is available-I really think our first few picks are defense unless the value just isnt there. -

Nicks as a known commodity is a relatively safe pick. You know what your getting and while he might be a solid reciever, hes not gonna be a gamebreaker. I dont think hes what teams will look for with a top pick. I could always be wrong of course, but Id feel fairly safe in saying Nicks will make the second round. -

I do think Nicks would be the best WR we could realisticly aquire. We dont need another Ginn in Harvin, we dont need another project WR in Heyward-bey. Nicks would fit well as a possession type WR-a big guy with great hands who can make some plays, especially in the red zone.
I just dont feel hes as dynamic as some of the Nicks lovers here keep claiming. Hes a bottom of round 1 early round 2 guy. I get the feeling some people feel hes better than that and I dont. That doesnt mean I will be upset if we take him at 25, I think thats about the upper end of where he should be going.
I still think it will depend more on what defensive players are around than anything if we go for Nicks or not. -
I don't see all these Ginn-Harvin comparisons. I just think they're misguided.
If Miami wants size, they could get Patrick Turner, Ramses Barden, maybe Brian Robiskie, etc. Robiskie would probably work well with Pennington.
Heck I think a guy like Jarett Dillard will just continue to work harder and harder and become a good WR...and he can jump a mile in the air too so he'd be a red zone threat even if only at 5'10" and 190 pounds. -
As for the defensive players that are options, I only see two that I might take over Nicks.
Larry English: I love his first step but we did add a Cameron Wake for the same role. I'd like to double up but it doesn't have to be at #25 and I like several of the guys who'll be available in 2nd round at LB.
Maualuga: He has some burst but some question marks in terms of instincts. He's also not as big as I thought he was. And I don't value the ILB position as much as WR. I would probably be just as happy picking up a Franz Joseph in the 5th. -

I can see lots of defenders that could be around for us that Id rather take than a WR. You never know who falls. Malaugua, Maybin, English, Cushing, a few of the CBs etc etc. Id rather spend our first on defense personally, and go for a guy like Robiskie in the 2b slot, or a guy like Barden in 3.
