I don't think its an actual double standard at least present in everyone in the community. I think its a standard some hold and some don't. Just as some white folks have double standards such as saying stop being so politically correct then getting upset when other races are not. I of course wouldn't though assume this to be anything other then a few people who don't see the folly in their logic and not a true double standard in the media, government,etc as others might think. The media, etc usually has to watch what they say because they are afraid of the advocacy groups. I'm sure if there was a white advocacy group to put pressure on these people that was effective it would cause them to make fun of white people dancing. :wink2:
Having said that I do think you have to watch racial humor as it can turn seemingly serious very quickly, and I think even be serious stuff disguised as a joke.

Name one company the size of ESPN where the lowest employee is treated the same as the CEO. There's no equality, on any level, in the business world.

The problem here isn't racial injustice, its corporate injustice. No one lost their job because of the law, they lost their job because of loss of profit or the threat of the loss of profit.

If a major group of white people started boycotting ESPN's advertisers, they'd get rid of Cris Carter.

That probably won't happen though, because quite frankly, Caucasians don't have the history of oppression that would motivate them to act. There's not a magic theory as to why some of the most "on the defensive" groups of people in these matters are blacks and Jews. Its as if they have recent histories filled with atrocities or something... weird.

In Chris Carters defense he did an interview years ago and refused to say black people were better athletes, he said that was a sterotype and followed it up by saying that then he would have to say white people were smarter players.

 

The only people who truly get offended when stuff like that is said is....the media. Theyre the ones who exploit it usually. Stupid stuff is said all the time and usually goes unnoticed until the news media, who have 24 hours to fill, find stuff than could be offensive to someone and then blow it up.
