Philosophy is to double up on three different positions of need, and get you excited as hell in the process.
1) Luke Kuechly...great eyes, great feet, combined with very good athleticism and speed, put all that in front of Big Paul, throw Dansby and Burnett in the outside, and none of them will come off the field, and The chanting of Luuuuuuke will fill our Sunday's for ten years.
2) Brandon Weeden...The natural..the opposite of everything mechanical a Qb can be..Great talent at a good price, and when you look thru that first round, I don't see much chance of any of those teams drafting a 29 year old in the first..Can come in and Lead a group of young Vets, can read pressure, and get the ball where it needs to go at warp speed, put his skillset in a fresh uptempo offense, and you have your own Tom Brady intelligent where your *** out offense.
3) Mohammed Sanu/ Marvin Mcnutt..whichever one is available, Sanu is the longshot there, but if so, he would be my pick, Mcnutt has size, intelligence, and hands, also we should have some excellent intel on this player, former Qb so you might have some versatility with some different formations.
3) Tank Carder...a fine linebacker, fast, As quick as any backer in the draft from recognition to impact, great demeanor, nasty, can drop, can blitz, is a baller.
4) Russell Wilson...Yup, sure did, and proud of it, if Weeden goes earlier, than I take him at Two and not flinch...Such a precise Qb, it's all about angles that he takes in all facets of his game, never wastes motion, always knows when to tuck and run, always keeps his eyes downfield, and IMO, is capable of being the best playmaker amongst all the Qb's, I could go on and on about his perfection, but there's a whole thread on him..
5) Devon Wylie...Three words...scary white boy...Literally, this dude makes people fear him in the open field, I've seen it, a lot, fear that is..he's the complete package at his size. So talented.
6) Taylor Thompson..kids not really played the position, but is very gifted athletically, has excellent size and speed, and just has an air of confidence in him that makes you wanna take a chance..
7) Cliff Harris..I studied two games specifically on this guy, one vrs Andrew Luck and the other Matt Barkley...dude Played well...will take chances because of ego and overconfidence, but hey, maybe being a late rounder will humble him
3 positions of need, 2 Qb's, 2 linebackers, 2 receivers, this is what I would do.
