Draft Ace mock draft 12/1/08

I thought that this was a pretty good mock- I like Spikes but 16 seems a little high for him.
Brandon Spikes isn't too high at all in my opinion. I'm intrigued by the selection of Aaron Curry to San Francisco. They already have one first rounder invested at the OLB spot in Manny Lawson and they're run defense has been good this year. I think they should go DB there. I think that's early for Orakpo. Cody at 20? Marks at 21? Seems early (as of right now) for Nate Davis. Selvie out of the first round?

I love Nate Davis, but don't know if I see him in top 20 right now. He'd need some real good workouts I think.
Ugh, Taylor Mays on the Pats? Him and Meriweather back there? That's a pair of athletic guys.

Lol. So no Greg Hardy, no Clint Sintim, no George Selvie and Nate Davis in the first. Whoever has that first pick in the second round are going to be wetting themselves if that was to happen, which it won't IMO.

I have a feeling that Stafford might transition pretty well. He has the tools, just probably not as gifted as some. Of course, I commented about Matt Ryan not being as gifted as well.
IF Bradford comes out, he would easily be the #1 pick IMO.

Most people seem to agree with that. I don't think that I'll make up my mind until after the Gators/Sooners game. I like them both, but Stafford screams stud NFL pocket passer to me. He and Calvin Johnson could be lethal.
