The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly interested in Sean Smith, according to CSN Philly's Geoff Mosher, as they prepare to let go a pair of highly regarded cornerbacks.
"That leaves an opening for Smith, a fourth-year cornerback who has spent his entire career with the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins weren't interested in giving him the $8-$10 million he wanted this offseason, and the Eagles aren't either. The reports say that they only want Smith "at the right price," but they are reportedly looking at the cornerback. It's somewhat surprising Smith feels he can demand such a high price on the open market considering he gave up more touchdowns and first downs than any cornerback in the league last season, but with Brandon Carr and Jason McCourty getting $50 million and $43 million deals over five years, respectively, the market is high for cornerbacks. Perhaps the Eagles will pay up for the 6'3 Smith."
" at the right price"
Thought that was pretty funny..Not sure why they would have interest, he's not a complete corner, and all their fans know that's exactly what they had in both their corners last year..

Yeah holy lord. DRC? Yuck. Maybe as a #2 CB and I'm still not happy with it.
Bring me Chris Houston for the #2 CB spot, interim #1 spot, while we bring Millner up to snuff. Oh god wishful thinking -

I think that teams have learned a bit from the outrageous deals some of these CBs have gotten recently. Hopefully we can keep Sean Smith for a reasonable price, I just don't see teams breaking out 10-15 million a year deals for these guys anymore, there are maybe one or two CBs out there worth that kind of money, maybe.

I for one, was thoroughly disappointed at SS24's play last year. After the Arizona game he just went down the tubes! Slow reaction time, and can't find the ball in the air. Consistently out of position. I'd put his value about equal with resigning Will Allen... I say sign old man Charles Woodson and draft one or two for him to groom.

Yes Vontae we believe someone hacked your twitter account for a few minutes with the intention of saying something like that, then did not post anything else. I cant wait til some photo surfaces of Vontae and Sean hanging out with a 2-26 or 2-27 time stamp on it.
