Some of us are going to try and be there for practices and the game this year.

I've already purchased tickets to the game and the Player/Coach Meet and Greet on Thursday evening.

Can Art Jones even play in the game? I'd thought he had a fairly serious injury?

Very serious possibility. very good chance of it happening, the wife is not opposed to it.
The plane ticket is $600.00 round trip give or take, so it is workable in that regard as well. The only problem I have is when I get there, which is after 9:00pm.
Actually, I was looking at the wrong screen...... I think I get in a bit earlier. I will check it out.alen1 likes this. -
Oh, you thought we were hanging out? Oh my bad.
Couldn't help it.
You wouldn't be the only one learning man, I want to meet some coaches and whatnot. Besides, what would you learn from me?Alex44 likes this. -
Oh God I can totally see it.
You and CK hanging out, Alen trying to tag along but you guys pay him no mind. Some hot girl walks up "Who's the kid?" you reply "Him? Don't know, he's been following us all day."ToddsPhins and Conuficus like this. -
What?
Alen's a player.
Hmm, interesting note, Tuna's guy Romeo Crennel is the coach for one of the teams, be cool if we had a bit of inside advantage out of it. -
The funny part is, we are all rookies there, so we can't even haze him a bit. :shifty:
Just kidding......the reality is CK and I will probably be worn out, and his *** will still be like the energizer bunny. The sad part is we'll be shown up by a kid half our age.
The cool part will be meeting everybody and getting some work done. May not sound like fun to most, but for us draft nuts, that is heaven.
There is a meet and greet with the coaches on Thursday night. I really would like to go to that if I can. That would be a nice treat. You never know who you could meet there if you're open and willing to shoot the ****.
May be an incredible chance to make connections.padre31 likes this. -
Wait...shoot the what?

mod edit: you meant poop right con.

Ooooooooh  it's usually breeze. Can't say I've ever heard shoot the....poop.

Alen would film the whole thing, then write up a scouting report detailing CK and your strengths and weakenesses...Now THAT I could see:
Conu:
Left handed, his capital S is a a little sloppy on the turn in, his lack of height is compensated for by football knowledge, has good rapport with fellow draftniks, stiffed waitress on tip...
No doubt, the sounds of whistles blowing and being among other Draftniks is like the smell of flowers to a bee.
Be real cool if you could meet GRT8.
Funny thing is, do people even use business cards anymore? I'd think people would be more likely to just beam their contact stuff via Blackberry or what have you. -
Thanks Padre.
TBH I was just too lazy to google it. :jt0323: Who's TP's b!tch!!!! :tongue2: -
I hope you're being sarcastic here. ;)
It would be great for Universal Draft to have you and CK write like a live blog or something.
Yeah I'm thinking about skipping school Friday so I can go to the Thursday night meet and greet, stay at the practice on Friday and be at the game Saturday. -
Great, now we're contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The friday practice will be fairly meaningless in many ways, as it will mostly be walk throughs and such I would imagine. Wednesday would be the day to go, I wish I could but with kids and all, thats a bit much to off the wife. -
Well someone has to be designated driver. :shifty:

they dont have much else to do where con lives. over there its not a figure of speech its an olympic sportConuficus and ToddsPhins like this.

Hey nuttin but beaches, sunshine and alcohol. I jest, but really Bermuda has a BIG alcohol problem. It is very socially accepted to be just trashed. I can name you 50 people right now that I know will have stopped to by a flask of vodka, gin, cockspur or rum by 10:00 tomorrow morning. (I'm being generous with 10)
There is a saying "Bermudians love to drink". But it is to the point of excess, one of the reasons I was a raging alcoholic when I was a teenager. Those days are long gone now, and I barely drink. -
