To my fellow Dolphins fans, and to the players, members of the organization, etc. I stand before you today to (proudly) eat my crow. Before the season began, I was one of the ones who bashed and looked down on the more "optimistic" Dolphins fans claiming that we would finish above .500. I was one of the so-called "realist" fans who couldn't realistically see this team finishing better than 6-10 no matter how the schedule was dissected or how the numbers were crunched, considering last year they found multiple ways to lose close games.
To the players, you've far exceeded the expectations of most Dolphins fans (except those darned optimistic ones) but you don't need me to stand here and say that, that's obvious. What I will say, however, is that regardless of how this season winds down I'm proud of my Miami Dolphins. This team may not be the most talented on paper, but they have the heart of a lion. Bill Parcells, Jeff Ireland, and Tony Sparano and co have instilled a winning tradition and has this squad of overachievers, unlike last year, finding ways to win.
In closing, I guess my main point is that is great to wear my Dolphins gear this year and not be ridiculed. It's great to be a Dolphins fan again...
...even if you have to swallow a lil bit of crow along the way.
See ya, and GO DOLPHINS!!!

We lost pretty much every metric, we still won the game, that is Vintage Shula.
Y'all need one more Athlete on offense, right now none of your guys can catch the ball at the 10, and carry it into the Endzone.
Aside from Gore of course... -

After the aggravation this teams has put its fans through I'd say that yes we can officially avoid the crow helpings. It continues to do so, hopefully this time we end up on the winning side from now until forever. The disappointments have been insane.

Is their any doubt that Chad's 2 TDs outweighed the 45+ pass attempts of the 9ers?
Niners - 5.06 yards per pass attempt - 0 TDs
Dolphins - 8.21 yards per pass attempt - 2 TDs
Is their any doubt that Miami had the better rushing attack?
Foster & Robinson - 23 carries - 84 yards - 3.65ypa
Ronnie & Ricky - 17 carries - 90 yards - 5.29 ypa
Moral of this story. Just because you have more attempts, doesnt mean you were better. -

Right there with you brother AC.
I predicted that if we got some lucky bounces, we would be 8-8. Well we haven't even had to rely on lucky bounces and the wins just keep coming.
The fact that IF we win out, we win the division has me giddy.
The fact we play KC and then a JEST team that only beat us on an absolute prayer being thrown by Farvee has me believing we could actually do this. -
I had us at 6 wins, tops.
This team sucked last year. Big kudos to Parecells/Ireland/Sparano/Pennington -

Yeah, me too....I would have been ecstatic with a 6-10 record...I would/am shocked with better than that...hats off to Sparano, but the real difference is Penny...

I had us at 6 wins and am looking forward to several more plates of crow in the upcoming weeks! :yummy:

Its all good.
I had us at 10-6 before the start of the season.
Felt so bad after the Baltimore loss, that I 'ate my crow' and said that my original prediction seemed off and we looked more likely to end up at 6-10.
In the end, it seems as if even my 'optimistic' original prediction of 10-6 will be eclipsed by an even better mark of 11-5!!!opfinistic likes this.
