I may have to turn in my man card for this, but I just got done watching "Enchanted" on DVD, and I really recommend it. Disney makes fun of itself to great effect and produces a sweet love story to boot. And Amy Adams absolutely lights up the screen.

I didn't tear up, but there were definitely several "awwwwwwwwww" moments.

Well, pretty much anyone who knows me knows that my whole "heavy metal madman" status has been blown to **** by the fact that I'm a Disney fanatic, so I'll probably be getting this movie on DVD soon myself.

Dude, if you're a Disney fanatic, you HAVE to own this.
Also in my defense, part of my reasoning for wanting to watch it was that I wrote a press release to help publicize an Enchanted/NutraSoda promotion, so I figured I ought to at least watch it.

I will know soon enough, my little one is getting it for her birthday in a couple of weeks, so I'm sure I will see it about 100 times. :D

I'll have to grab it this week. I heard it's a spoof similar to the way "The Brady Bunch Movie" spoofed the show.
Damn straight. -
count me among the Disney fanatics too... i have had so much fun at WDW with my wife and kids that almost nothing in my life experience compares. we've been three straight years for a week each time, and still have barely scratched the surface.
my kids got the movie from the Easter Bunny, i haven't seen it yet but i will soon. -
You guys have to tell me how you like it. I have to say, for me, it beat the crap out of "No Country for Old Men," which I just saw.
-
Yes please do.
And lets never speak of this thread again. -
Great thread brother, and NO!!!! this shouldn't cost any man points. Quite the opposite actually
Of course anybody that knows anything about me knows I have two beautiful little girls..... so OF COURSE I HAVE SEEN IT!
Great great movie.... in fact I give it 5 out of 5 wolf heads -
Thus rendering your ratings system useless. :hi5:

I usually have three criteria when it comes to movies. Boobs, Zombies or explosions. I disregarded my standards and watched this with the wife. I'm ashamed to admit that I enjoyed it.

Amy Adams does have nice boobs.

busting on the Doc and the Wolf about this pretty much guarantees that when the day comes that you settle into family life with the woman of your choice, that you and she will have a whole bunch of Girl children.
and when you have those girl children, you will watch not only Enchanted, but lots of other girl movies, and attend and participate in tea parties, and help dress baby dolls occassionaly.
and you will enjoy every minute of it. even if grudgingly at first. :up:Colorado Dolfan, azfinfanmang and Pagan like this. -

I'm a pretty big Disney guy (have pretty much all of the movies on DVD). I passed on this movie in theaters because I thought it looked goofy and stupid. Based on some of the reviews I have read here, I went ahead and picked this up at Best Buy. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a really fun little movie. In fact, I liked it better than a lot of the more recent Disney fare. I especially enjoyed the self-referential humor and various homages to other Disney classics throughout the film. This is probably my favorite Disney movie since Lilo and Stitch.
