I don't get upset when the power rankings have us at the bottom and won't rejoice when they've got us at the top.

Agree. Power rankings don't mean anything. Respect comes on the field. Not in some idiotic poll.

 

Stringer Bell has them ranked #10 in the NFL.

It's amzing how many people have jumped on board with the phins this year, especially after last week.

Ya...that's what happens when idiots do power ranking polls. Nice to see some media respect though. If we can pull of a win in the 9ers or Patsies game we would break the top ten probably.

 

Really show how much these "anal-ysts" really know. From worst team in the league, possible first overall pick, before the season started; to top 12 team in the league after 8 weeks. Very reliable, these people.

 

Division rank is everything, why worry about how much better you are than some team in another division/conference ?

National respect does nothing good for us.

I remember in 2010 when we were what ? 5-3 ? Everyone was pulling up the power rankings.

 

Well, I for one like the respect this team is garnering. That's what I take from power rankings.

Most logical thing I've seen you write in a LONG time

 

Just shows that people believe our defense is legit and it is. We can play with anyone because our defense will keep us in games. Our defense is making big game changing plays. Philbin is getting some deserved respect as well, having Tannehill so ready so early and our offense much improved is giving us all some hope. If we had a really good kicker we'd be 1st in the division.

 

Don't put much stock in power rankings, they are nice but a little like kissing your sister. Win games, grow Tannehill, develop players, draft well and pick up 1-2 solid WR's and a lock-down CB in the offseason, then I'll expect some kudos, right now I'm just enjoying watching this team win games and our HC/DC/OC develop players instead of hanging on to old retreads like Porter.

This season has turned out so far to be far more fun than I had expected, nice surprise and cause for some serious optimism for next season.

 

I feel like we have to add best overall special teams in the league every time we talk about our team..defense and special teams, two phases of the game were damn good and winning games.
