AS I mentioned, I think the Jest new GM is doing a good job with what he has to work with, extra draft picks and cap space being created.

I agree. He realizes what little he has to work with and is tearing it down to build it up. Luckily he is burdoned with Sanchez for at least another year.
-
They could head into the draft with the #8 and #13 and additional cap space.

Good move for Tampa...when u face Atlanta and NO 4x a year you need all the help you can get.

So long as the Jets don't get rid of Sanchez (and to a lesser extent Tebow) I won't be too upset.
SICK, Ohio Fanatic and Fin-Omenal like this. -
Normally the busts don't get undeserved 11m per year extensions. He has killed the Jets on and off the field.

I bet Rex cried more than a blood from a vagina on its period.

-edit- NONE of it guaranteed...zilch..nada
Basically makes it a year-to-year deal. -

Big picture, and it's basically us vs NE for the division, losing Revis means also the Jest are a weaker overall team, same with the Bills.
INOW, we can pretty much plan on NE sweeping both teams. -

It is a good move for the Jets. THIS year, it'll make them worse, but they wouldn't have been great anyway.
But they get like 4 or 5 compensatory picks in next years draft I think, which is obviously great for them for the future. Unless they botch all of them [which they hopefully do ;)], but for now its good. -

Excellent move by the jets. Bucs making sure not one sent is guaranteed is smart as heck too.
