Look we know Parcells has a real good relationship with Al Davis and obviously we know his Son-In-Law is the Cheifs GM Scott Pioli. The Fins have already struck three deals with the Cheifs so trading to the Chiefs again would not surprise me. Im Miami and I send Roth and a pick for Bowe. Bowe is not in the elite talk yet, but the kid is sick. I hope Miami stirkes a deal.

Johnnie Higgins would cost less than Bowe and strengthens kick and punt returns.
Bowe also drops passes and had some discipline issues during Camp. -
Minor Discipline issues I'm not worried about... this regime will break him if need be.
As much as I'd like to see Roth stay, I think his odd injury issue are going to make him a write off for the Trifecta. I could see them bringing Wake in full time on the Strong side next season, and if JT is still around, maybe put JP 75%, JT 25% on pass rush situations on the weak side.
Losing someone we haven't had all year, and a mid to early round pick for someone who could be a #1 receiver would be worth it for us... might not be worth it for the Chiefs though. -
-
Of my head I think of several recievers I think can come to Miami via trade. Here is the list:
Dwayne Bowe - Seems like everyone is for sale in KC
Lee Evan - He could be available
Johnnie Lee Higgins - Excellent KR, but rumors are he is playing scared
Roscoe Parrish - Excellent KR
Chris Henry - Doubt it, but who knows -
Go for bowe!

I would love to add Bowe to this team.
The thing about him that would mesh so well with the Dolphins is his nose for the endzone. On some terrible KC teams his touchdown totals are as follows: 5 in 2007 (rookie year), 7 in 2008 and already 3 in 2009 (and he was inactive in their Week 3 game against Philly).
The guy would be a tremendous pickup for us. -
Roth for Bowe straight-up would be a steal!
Roth is WORTHLESS. We've done a great job "setting the edge" without him. JT can play the run just as good as Roth plus he can actually rush the passer.cnc66 likes this. -

We have the speed guy in Ginn and the chain movers in Cam and Bess, we're missing the big physical, play maker. I promise you, if and when we get one, Henne and this offense will be a top 5 power house in the league for years to come.
But we need to do it now, while this running game is still in tact. -

As for YAC, eh, what is a good YAC number to begin with? Greg C may not have many but he certainly is a reliable play maker.
This I agree, with, but don't, we still do not know what Hartline or Turner can do, and I'd hate to get into the habit of burning up draft choices without knowing.
Interesting stat JS...the Jets have drafted 13 players in 3 seasons, with 3 last season, sooner or later that will catch up to them.
To me, that would mean Bowe, or Higgins, or even TO...whichever is cheaper and can contribute the soonest.gunn34 likes this. -
I highly doubt Miami makes a trade.
-
One thing is for sure, if they make a trade for someone who can play like Edwards played for the Jets last night, consistently, the only thing keeping us from a superbowl is that shoddy safety play. And so far even with that we've held our own against some pretty great offenses (minus the Atlanta embarassment).
-
Louis Murphy of the Raiders would be my choice.
We should have taken him over Pat Turner.
And why no thoughts of a Tight End?Frumundah Finnatic and Themole like this. -
I think we make a deal but we have always been way off on who we do it with and what its for.

TO?.....he'd have to be cheap....really cheap because he would basically be an 11 game rental. Plus playoffs if we make it that far...
Bowe? I'd give a 2nd, Roth and Turner for that guy right now....
He's "developed" already, which is huge.... -
we won't trade I don' t think. I would rather we work on resigning ronnie before we start adding wrs.

Hartline has made that adjustment, Turner has not, but either way every Wr on the roster is "complimentary".
-
Why would they let Dwayne Bowe go? I don't understand how KC would benefit unless its for a 2nd + a player who can benefit right away.
Are they giving up on Patrick Turner already? Dwayne Bowe + Turner would be redundant. I'd rather have Bowe (Vs) Turner, for the record. I guess a 2nd, Roth and Turner for Bowe might be reasonable. -
when it comes to a game changing, team altering WR like dwayne bowe....who imo is way better than braylon edwards.....and drops less balls......
my opinion is they are like homerun hitters in baseball.....like an adam dunn.....he strikes out a ton....but also has 35 HRs, 500 slugging % and 120 rbi's.....
you take the drops with the playmaking abilities....he will open up one on ones for ginn (omg!!!!) and opens the field for more drags, inside routs by TEs and bess, camarillo
getting him would be gigantic imotexanphinatic, TheAnswer385 and jetssuck like this. -

That was a screen pass to a RB.....that fact only magnifies my point
Ok then, our 1st and Turner....yes I said "1st"..it's THAT important.
-
If we're going to trade with the Chiefs I would rather we trade for ILB Derrick Johnson. I think he would be a solid addition and we may be able to get him cheap. He's banged up a bit right now but they have Demorrio Williams playing there right now. He's not the best blitzer but he can cover RBs and TEs
