James Walker is an idiot. He plays into the media hype of tebow with every other post being about him on that blog. I go on there to laugh at the comments about people calling him an idiot.

Gotta love the term blue collar being applied to these guys. So, does this make the Patriots white collar? The Raiders unemployed? Anyway, let's open up a can on Fisher's bunch. Prepare your anus Jeff...

A lot of people worked themselves into a pessimistic hysteria this off-season, and ESPN/local newspapers/etc. did their normal shallow and dumb deal.

Also "blue collar" is a pretty backhanded compliment.

Part of that hysteria was around trading what was then considered valuable assessts in Marshall and VD. I was furious when the VD trade happened and as pessimestic as ever. But Philbin has won me over these past five weeks and the team as a whole seems to be buying in. So yes, some of us made 180s on the team after initially thinking we were headed towards another rebuilding project. I'm glad I was wrong.. Now I just need to temper my insane enthusiasm with reality :)

He was the orginator of the "Bills will be great this yr!" bandwagon.

Dolt, I tuned out the sports media vis a vis the Dolphins the past spring, the bloggers, twitter, the whole bit have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to Miami.

I thought we'd start slowly and finish fast, but still thought we'd have a top 5 draft pick.

Tannehill is just playing well as is the Defense and we have different guys every week making plays.

IMO "blue collar" just means that there aren't many or any big name stars. I personally don't equate big names with better play or players, but I know some do.

Well, that's it...the cat is out of the bag... They just jinxed us for the year....

I have to say I have not had this enthusiasm about a Coach-QB combo since Shula-Marino.

Homer blood running strong.The players are really buying into it and that means anything is possible .

I also think of Blue Collar in terms of the trenches vs. skill players. As well as style of play (plodding vs. aerial barrage).

Rafael, where do you see Odrick in a year? Should we be discouraged for his lack of flashy play or do you see him creating for other players? My opinion is pretty bleh right now, I'm waiting for him to have a breakout game before I let my opinion harden.

I think you might be overthinking this. The Ravens and Steelers have alway been considered "blue collar" teams.

Blue collar isn't any sort of insult to me. It means guys who are not afraid of actual hard work, physical labor, earning a living by the sweat of their brow, and the callouses on their hands.

Yeah, I just don't equate big name and talent. I agree that this team doesn't have a ton of names that get national pub, but I don't agree with the "not very talented" assessment. As I said before the season, we have many players who are potentially the best (or at least top 5) at their position this season (Long, Pouncey, Wake, Dansby, Starks, Soliai). The Lombardi opinion piece added Sean Smith as well. All along I've said that Bess has as much talent as a Welker and that Hartline is similar to a Jordy Nelson (talent-wise). Bush showed last season that he can be a top back. And most importantly, I believe RT has the talent to be the best at QB. (Although he's progressed far faster than I anticipated). IMO we haven't had the QB and therefore haven't had the wins, so everybody simplistically jumps to "low talent level" as the explanation. IMO our talent level right now compares favorably with the top third of the league. We still have some holes, but most teams do. And now we finally seem to have a coaching staff that knows how use the talents we have optimally. (Of course, much of that is RT, too).

Aside from the division games this the game I want most to win just because I always felt Fishers teams played dirty and took liberties. Im so happy he slighted Miami and took the St Louis offer because this guy couldnt find an offense without Steve McNair...he'd probably have crippled Tannehill or requested that Ireland move forward with Matt Moore :(
