“Prior to Tommy and Peyton Manning going to the league and saying, ‘Let us doctor our balls’ we used to all play with the same balls,” said Feeley, a former Eagle. “Somehow this beat-up ball from the ball boy was getting thrown in on offense for New England, yet when we were on offense this orange brand-new ball was getting thrown in.”
Feeley wasn’t happy.
“That was an issue to me at the time,” he said.
Feeley said Jay Fiedler was on the field at the time and that he and Sage Rosenfels were chagrined backups who raised complaints.
“I made a note of it,” Feeley said. “I even said something to the ballboy. He just gave me a smirk.”
“They said, ‘You’re looking at stuff that really doesn’t matter,’ ” Feeley said.
At that point, Feeley said, he and Rosenfels agreed, “That’s crazy.”

Rocky RaccoonmoderatorMan, I remember the Feeley vs. Frerotte wars that took place on FH during the summer of 2005. I actually liked Feeley when he was playing hurt through 2004. He made it easy to root for him, minus all the turnovers, of course.

Frerotte wasn't a bad QB for us either. Had a strong arm. I think he should've gotten a fair shot to start the next season but we dumped him for Culpepper and the rest is history.

Of all the junk we had at QB from 2000-2011, those two were probably among the 4-5 best. I don't think that Feeley got a fully fair shot in his time, and 2004 was such a mess.

Who is arguably a more athletic Matt Ryan at this point in his progression.
What more do we want? More wins? Playoffs? You gotta look at the entire team and coaching staff for that requirement.
Personally, this is as comfortable as I've been with the QB position in the past 15 years.
