I agree with the Kerrigan note EXCEPT for the part about him anchoring against the run.
I think he has that ability at the next level.
I've been saying for a while now you do NOT put this guy at linebacker.
It would be a huge mistake.
He's not the kind of athlete you want there, which would be OK if he moved like a linebacker, like Jermaine Cunningham did...but he doesn't.
You put him at DE and have him run the arc all day.
He's a good two-way player though, he can pass rush and he can play against the run and maintain gap control, use his hands and get off blocks.
Have him do THAT.
Then on pass rush downs teach him to be more consistent with his first step, give him a few more tools at his disposal as far as counters go and stuff like that, and he'll be an impact player.
It won't be right away, it'll play out a lot like Chris Long's evolution as a player.
It's nice that some people are finally catching up to what I've been saying for a while now on Kerrigan's lack of fluidity or athleticism and his inability to play in space, it'd just be nice if they catch ALL the way up to what I've been saying, and they see the value of Kerrigan as a DE in a 4-3.
